Intracytoplasmic S***m Injection (ICSI).

ICSI involves fertilising the egg with only one s***m. The s***m is selected, sucked into a needle; the much bigger egg is held, and the s***m is injected into the egg.

Indications.
1. Low s***m count, low motility, or abnormal s***m morphology.
2. When s***ms are surgically retrieved from the te**es.
3. Previous failure to fertilise with IVF.
4. When frozen s***ms or eggs are used.
5. When s*x selection is planned.

PCOS HAS A NEW NAME.
Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) now has a new name.
It is now called Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS).
This is great news, as the name Polycystic O***y Syndrome makes women think they have multiple cysts, which is not true. Also, the new name now reflects the fact that the disease is not restricted to the ovaries alone but also affects other systems.
The diagnosis and treatment remain the same.
