let’s talk about oral thrush (mouth yeast infection) 👄

oral thrush is a fungal infection in the mouth caused by an overgrowth of candida yeast. it’s uncomfortable, sometimes painful, and can happen to anyone 🥹not just babies or elderly people. here’s everything you need to know 👇🏻

what it looks like
• white, creamy patches on the tongue, inner cheeks, roof of the mouth, or throat
• red, inflamed areas under the white patches
• soreness, burning, or difficulty swallowing
• sometimes a bad taste or dry mouth

common causes
1️⃣ weakened immunity – illness, HIV, diabetes, or medications that suppress immunity
