Growing up, my reading routine is always at night...

Once it clocks 1am, I will wake up and read for an hour before going back to sleep.

Most of my meal plan recommendations are done at night because I do most of my research at night...

In my formal location, I developed insomnia because of the constant attack from hoodlums... Gun shots almost everyday.

The word “ARTIFICIAL" is the cause of every disease and sickness…

What do I mean?

What is the human endocrine system all about?

The endocrine system is a complex network of glands and organs. It uses hormones to control and coordinate your body's metabolism, energy level, reproduction, growth and development, and response to injury, stress, and mood.

The endocrine system includes the ;

1. Hypothalamus,
2. Pituitary gland
3. Thyroid gland
4. Parathyroid glands,
5. Thymus
6. Adrenal glands
7. Pancreas

Each hormone has special functions that are critical in the regulation of body function..

Main functions includes the following;

What is the function of the endocrine system?

1. Metabolism
2. Homeostasis

(constant internal balance), such as blood pressure and blood sugar regulation, fluid (water) and electrolyte balance and body temperature

3. Growth and development
4. Sexual function
5. Reproduction

The main function of endocrine glands is to secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream.

Hormones are chemical substances that affect the activity of another part of the body (target site).

On a Saturday morning, you will find children scraping empty milk and tin tomatoes cup by the tarred road...

This was the best process to remove lip from tin cups after use, to avoid injury...

After removing the lip, cups are washed and mama will rub palm oil on it, before pouring grounded beans used for moi moi...

When cups are not enough, mama will get some leafs or asked her child to cut plantain leafs...

She will first place the leafs on the open fire, to destroy harmful chemicals that may leach into the moi moi when cooking...

Indeed, our forefathers were far wiser than this generation..

Even if your mama is not cooking moi moi on Saturday, children will come out and make some noise by the side of the road...

It was fun while doing the right things.

Today, moi moi is being cooking on plastic plates and nylon... No one cares anymore.

Hardly will you find a place where leaf moi moi is being sold...

Yet, we keep asking how cancer is spreading fast in Africa, a country that has very hot weather...

These things we call innovation and technology, is taking us away from our traditional living...

The damage is more than the effectiveness but we don't agree to it.

On the street, everyone is pressing phone... People don't stay off from their phones for even 30 minutes.

The taste of moi moi cooked in leaf is never compared to that cooked in plastic plates..

If you want to understand this much more, try drink pure water that has been kept under the sun....

You'll not only feel the bad taste but feel the chemicals that has leached into the water from the nylon used...

Beans has complex carbs + rice has complex carbs + protein + protein..

2 complex carbs with protein is much safe than 2 simple carbs with protein..

That cancel bread and tea with eggs..

Bread is simple carb + tea simple carbs + egg protein...

In the end, one will eat more bread and drink more tea beverage, than eating eggs.

If you must have stable blood sugar measurement, you must know more about simple and complex carb foods...

Eating fruits in the morning, does not spike or raise blood sugar...

People living with diabetes eat fruits without complications..

When you follow the simple rule of not eating more than you can chew, certainly you'll have not sugar spike..

Only when you consistently eat 10 to 20 oranges instead of 2...

Only when you consistently eat 10 fingers of banana instead of 3...

Only when you consistently eat 6 cucumber with 1 bottle of fried groundnut instead of 1 cucumber...

Only when you consistently eat one particular fruits everyday in large portion, instead of eating other fruits..

This is where the problem begins...

The problem is not the fruit but the ability to control your fruit cravings...

Why should you eat a bowl of fruit and sleep off?

You're supposed to eat little fruits, then after some hours eat food and drink water...

When you fail to follow the rules, you'll bear the consequences in a hard way...

Dear spaghetti lovers,
Come let's reason together....

A pack of spaghetti cost ₦1200

3 cups of rice cost ₦1200

Both are carbohydrate foods but one need less ingredients...

You cannot cook spaghetti with little ingredients and enjoy it ...

There are only few ways to cook spaghetti and eat...

Spaghetti with beans eaten with stew or prepared as jollof...

My question is;

Why do you love a food that cannot feed a family of 6 and needs more money for ingredients?

3 cups of rice can be eaten by a father, mother and 4 infant children.. and can be prepared in different healthy ways.

When you make food choices, do you also consider the cost?

Do you compare prices and purpose when making food choices?

Just like eating bread which cost more than eating rice, some don't take time to do the mathematics...

Well, I've come to understand processed foods cost more than natural foods..

For the purpose of earning foods that are filling and cost effective, reduce your eating of spaghetti to maybe once or twice monthly...

For me, the nutritional value of rice cannot be compared to spaghetti... They are clearly walls apart.

Think nutritional value
Think filling
Think calorie
Think cost..

Healthy feeding consist of the above mentioned, put it into practice and thank me later...

In a refrigerator, there are 2 compartments... Freezer and fridge.

The fridge compartment is for storage of fresh vegetables like peppers, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and many others.

The freezer compartment is for storage of fresh animal product like fish and meat..

Both temperatures are not the same because the shell life of food categories are not the same..

The shell life of vegetables are only a few days but animal product can stay weeks...

When you blend tomatoes, parboil and store in a freezer for more than 1 week, you're actually eating nothing but concentrated acidic nutrient...

This concentrated acidic nutrient can be cancerous... Even when you feel it is still looking fresh.

It cost nothing to pick a few tomatoes and peppers from the fridge to prepare your meals..

You don't need to blend and store... pick them fresh and trash the ones that are bad..

While you are trying to save 20k, you may be paying 20M naira with body pains on a hospital sick bed...

Parboiling tomato and frying it later, is nothing but wrong method of cooking that can affect your body health...

This advice is not for everybody.... You're free to argue and continue cooking this wrong way.

Ugu egg sauce...

I love it when my wife prepare egg sauce with sliced ugu leaves without frying...

Simple ingredients and easy to cook... Plus can be eaten with any carb food, even swallow.

Ingredients

3 raw eggs
Fresh tomatoes
Fresh pepper
Onion
Crayfish
Palm oil
Fresh ugu leaf
Salt
Water

What way you cook this sauce, frying is not necessary... It makes the healing power useless.

When it comes to healthy foods, it's not about complexity but simplicity..

I love simple healing meals, they are easy on the digestive system..

Yes, prevention was widely advocate for and people learn to take precautions...

The real factors that lead to these changes are not being talked about...

People are too busy trying hard to earn money, while going through different degree of stress...

Social media has created fear, almost everybody is writing about nutritional health without looking at the real issue...

The things I read on social media is becoming clear that people love to be confused...

1. Someone wrote "sugar/glucose isn't fuel but chemical that destroys the human body

2. Someone wrote "anybody still eating breakfast is not healthy and something fundamental is wrong with the health of the person...

3. Someone wrote "if you cannot stay without food for 24 hours, you are sick and needs healing...

4. Someone wrote "eating breakfast is the reason people get diabetes and are always sick...

In my last post, I simply said "you can eat breakfast FROM 7am, don't wait till 11am..

This simply means you can eat breakfast either 8am, 9am, 10am... You must not wait till 11am before you eat breakfast.

People who are not sick are pushing a narrative that will make them sick, when we teach them what really make no sense...

Someone is pushing the narrative that eating breakfast is all about increasing blood sugar spike..

Do you just wake up and have blood sugar spike?

Why push a one sided narrative when breakfast has it advantages and disadvantages?

Before anyone will experience a blood sugar spike, some body organs must have become dysfunctional...

If you want to eat from 11am, that's okay... But it shouldn't be a standard for everybody.

Let people understand that breakfast, lunch and dinner has it advantages and disadvantages..

They all play an important role in the health of humans, not just about sugar spike...

Some people has maintained healthy balanced breakfast all their life and have never had blood sugar spikes..

All you need for breakfast is a balance plate... Carbs, protein and healthy fat. This will provide you energy for a whole day.

You are not sick if you can't stay away from food for 24 hours..

You are not sick if you eat breakfast...

If you always eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, it's fine but make sure their is a space time...

Let's say 4 to 6 hours space time from your first meal is perfect... It should not be 2 hours...

Give your body organs time to digest, absorb and breakdown foods... Don't let them over work themselves.

When your liver and kidneys are over worked, you will not experience peace but organ dysfunction..

I'm only here to teach you, if only you don't get yourself confused..
