Bringing Care Closer to the People: A Successful Medical Outreach in Abule Igbusi

In the spirit of World Health Day 2026, the people of Abule Igbusi, Iyana Ilogbo, Ota, Ogun State experienced a day of compassion, care, and community as Good’s Will Medical and Consultancy Service, owned and founded by Amb. Comr. Sholagbade Micheal, who also initiated this free medical outreach, host a free medical outreach right in front of the Baale Shomoye Palace, Olowo Igbusi of Igbusi.
The outreach touched the lives of hundreds of residents who came out in large numbers to benefit from the initiative. From the elderly to the young, many received free medical attention that would have otherwise been difficult to access. Services provided included general body check ups, blood sugar and hepatitis tests, blood pressure and weight checks, eye examinations with free glasses, physiotherapy, general body screening using various integrated machines, and professional consultations, all at no cost.
The joy and relief on the faces of beneficiaries told a powerful story. For many, this was more than just a medical exercise, it was a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
This impactful program was made possible through the generous support of PJ Medical Laboratory and Annyskem Pharmacy, alongside support from partnering bodies such as the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ado-Odo/Ota Branch, all working together for the well being of the community.
Residents expressed heartfelt gratitude, describing the outreach as timely and long awaited. Many shared how such an initiative has brought hope and relief to families within the area.
Indeed, this outreach goes beyond medical care, it reflects the power of unity, kindness, and service to humanity. It stands as a strong reminder that when communities come together, lives can be touched, and hope can be restored.
