This morning, these scriptures came at me strongly:

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

“Without faith it is impossible to please God…” Hebrews 11:6

“Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26

I had to ponder and did a little research on these scriptures and I was glad with what I found:

1️⃣ Faith begins in your heart :
Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is believing something even before you see it.

Like applying for a job and already preparing as if you’ve gotten it, even when the offer hasn’t come yet.

2️⃣ Faith pleases God

Hebrews 11:6 tells us God is looking at trust, not just words.

He rewards those who believe in Him and seek Him diligently.

Like a child asking a parent for food with full confidence that it will be given.

3️⃣ Faith must move your hands
James 2:26 shows faith alone isn’t enough. Real faith is action.
You believe God for something?
Take a step.
You trust God for breakthrough? Work, apply, learn, and act.

Faith is like a farmer: he believes the harvest will come, trusts God for the blessing, and plants the seeds and waters the field. Without action, nothing grows.

Faith is alive when it moves.

Don’t just hope.

It Believes, trust, and act.

That’s how miracles happen.

So faith in summary is:

Believe it (Heb 11:1)

Trust God for it (Heb 11:6)

Act on it (James 2:26)

If my story can:
• Lift one discouraged mother
• Restore hope to one weary parent
• Stir faith in one family battling health challenges
• Or remind someone that God is still involved in human stories

Then I am willing to share it.

I am open to speak in churches, women’s gatherings, youth meetings, health awareness programs, and faith-based events.

Not to be celebrated but to point people to the mercy of God.

Because when God helps you,you don’t stay silent.

He lifted me to lift others with my testimony.

Faith Is Not Denial........ Faith Is Courage.

Dear Parents with special needs,

Believing God does not mean ignoring doctors.

Trusting God does not mean throwing away medication.

Praying does not cancel wisdom.

If you are raising a child with Sickle Cell Disease or any special needs child.

You can believe God wholeheartedly
AND
Still go for hospital checkups.

You can fast and pray
AND
Still give prescribed medication.

You can declare healing
AND
Still monitor hemoglobin levels.

Faith is not pretending symptoms don’t exist.
Faith is having courage while managing them.

Even in Scripture, one of the gospel writers, Gospel of Luke, was written by Luke ....a physician.

God did not reject his profession. He used him.

That tells us something powerful:

Medicine is not the enémy of faith.

Wisdom is not rêbel1ion against God.

Knowledge is not unbelief.

As caregivers, we must be careful not to make desperate decisions based on pressure, guilt, or spiritual competition.

If your child is on medication ...continue responsibly.
If your doctor schedules reviews... keep them.
If there are preventive measures ...follow them.

Faith does not remove responsibility.
Faith strengthens responsibility.

No caregiver should feel áshamed for using medical support.
No parent should feel “less spiritual” for following treatment plans.

God can heal.
God can sustain.
God can strengthen through medicine.
God can work through doctors.

Sometimes the miracle is instant.
Sometimes the miracle is management.
Sometimes the miracle is strength to endure.

Faith and wisdom are not enemies.
They are partners.

Let’s raise champion with wisdom.

I was invited to speak to a group of sisters virtually. The feedbacks after the meeting warmed my heart.

I made up my mind to tell my story.......

There was a season of my life when survival felt like a full-time job.

Single parenting.
Health battles.
Hospital visits.
Questions without answers.
Prayers that looked like tears.

But God…

What many people saw as pressure, God used as a platform.

I have watched Him sustain me as a single mother when strength was not enough.

I have watched Him show up in the middle of my children’s health challenges.

I have witnessed what I can only describe as mercy rewriting medical narratives including the transformation of my children’s genotype from SS to AS.

It is an undeniable testimony of the mercies of God.

And I believe testimonies are not for admiration , they are for activation.....they are proof and evidence of God's power.

If my story can:
• Lift one discouraged mother
• Restore hope to one weary parent
• Stir faith in one family battling health challenges
• Or remind someone that God is still involved in human stories

Then I am willing to share it.

I am open to speak in churches, women’s gatherings, youth meetings, health awareness programs, and faith-based events.

To the mother who has not slept properly in years…

The one who wakes up at the slightest sound.
The one who checks temperature in the middle of the night.
The one who has memorized hospital corridors more than shopping malls.

If you are caring for a child with Sickle Cell Disease, this is for you.

I see you.

I see the hospital nights
The plastic chairs.
The emergency admissions.
The silent prayers whispered while everyone else sleeps.

I see the fear of crisis
That sudden pain episode.
That fever that makes your heart race.
That phone call from school that changes your whole day.

I see the financial stretch
The medications.
The lab tests.
The “unexpected” bills that are always expected.

I see the emotional isolation
When other parents talk about vacations and sleepovers,
and you’re calculating hemoglobin levels and hydration schedules.

And yet…

You still show up.
You still research.
You still f1ght.
You still believe.

You are not weak.
You are not dramatic.
You are not overprotective.

You are a warrior in quiet clothes.

Your strength is not loud.
It is steady.
It is persistent.
It is love in action.

Some days you will feel tired.
Some days you will feel angry.
Some days you will ask God “why?”

That does not make you faithless.
It makes you human.

And if nobody has told you recently ,I will say it to you.....
You are doing better than you think.

Tag a caregiver who needs strength today.

Or comment “WARRIOR” if this is your journey.

We stand together.

REAL, intentional, joyful love ❤️
To an intentional man👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Biko let’s correct this narrative :

🩸 Sickle cell is a condition, NOT a c.u.r.se.
🩸 It does not cancel destiny.
🩸 It does not disqualify anyone from love, marriage, or happiness.
🩸 It does not make you “less than.”

To everyone living with sickle cell:
👉 You are not a victim.
👉 You are not unlovable.
👉 You are not too much to be chosen.
👉 You are worthy of love, commitment, and a beautiful future.

Please stop shrinking yourself because of a diagnosis.
Stop accepting half-love because you think you should be grateful someone stayed.
The right person will see you, choose you, and stand with you with full understanding and full love.

Sickle cell or not ... LOVE IS POSSIBLE.

THE “THANK YOU JESUS” GRATITUDE CHALLENGE

What if the atmosphere of your life could change?

Not by complaining less once in a while
But by intentionally thanking God every single day?

I’m inviting you to a simple but powerful challenge:

🙏Say “Thank You Jesus” 100 times daily.

Not rushed.
Not mindless
Not doing to fulfill all righteous
But intentional.

Why this challenge?

Because gratitude:

🎯Shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s working

•🎯Silences murmuring, grumbling, and quiet bitterness.

🎯 Awakens your heart to God’s faithfulness
• Opens your eyes to prayers already answered

The Bible says:

“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

And also:

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” (Psalm 100:4)

This challenge is not about pretending life is perfect.

It’s about recognizing that God is present, faithful, and working even now.

Thank Him for what He has done
Thank Him for what He is doing
Thank Him even for what you don’t yet understand

So every day in January, we choose gratitude over grumbling.

Praise over pressure.

Thanksgiving over complaining.
