“What Your AMH Really Means” 🧬

One number. So much anxiety.

AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) is one of the most misunderstood fertility tests. Let’s clear it up.

AMH measures your egg reserve (quantity) — not egg quality and not your ability to conceive this month.

Here’s what the levels usually suggest:

🔻 Low AMH

Fewer eggs remaining

May produce fewer eggs during IVF

Does NOT mean pregnancy is impossible

Does NOT mean menopause has started

Many women with low AMH still conceive — sometimes naturally, sometimes with assistance.

🔹 Normal AMH

Egg reserve within expected range for your age

Likely moderate response to ovarian stimulation

But remember:
A “normal” AMH at 38 is different from a “normal” AMH at 28. Age still affects egg quality.

🔺 High AMH
Often seen in
Polycystic O***y Syndrome

Many small follicles

Higher risk of OHSS if overstimulated

Does NOT mean ovulation is regular

Does NOT mean getting pregnant will be easy

🚫 What AMH DOESN’T Tell You

Egg quality

Tubal patency

S***m health

Exact timing of menopause

True fertility assessment =
AMH + Age + Ultrasound (AFC) + Clinical history.

AMH is a data point. Not a verdict.
Visit a fertility specialist and get proper examination and explanation.

HOW LIFESTYLE AFFECTS FERTILITY 👶🏽✨

Trying to conceive is not just about the womb and s***m.
Your daily habits matter more than you think.

Let’s talk honestly 👇🏽

⚖️ 1. Weight (Too much or too little)
Fertility loves balance.
Being overweight can cause:
– Irregular periods
– Poor ovulation
– Worsening PCOS
– Lower s***m quality
Being underweight can cause:
– Missed periods
– No ovulation
– Hormonal imbalance

Even losing or gaining just 5–10% of body weight can improve fertility significantly.

😰 2. Stress
We know… TTC is stressful.

But chronic stress raises cortisol, which can:
– Disrupt ovulation
– Reduce s***m production
– Lower libido
– Affect hormone balance

Stress may not be the only cause of infertility, but it can make things harder.

Sleep well. Talk to someone. Pray. Breathe. Rest.
Your body needs peace to function well.

🍷 3. Alcohol
Frequent alcohol intake can:
– Disrupt hormones
– Reduce egg quality
– Lower s***m count
– Increase miscarriage risk

If you’re actively trying to conceive, reducing or avoiding alcohol is wise.

🚬 4. Smoking
This one is serious.

Smoking:
– Reduces egg reserve
– Speeds up ovarian aging
– Damages s***m DNA
– Lowers IVF success rates

If you’re trying for a baby, this is the time to stop.

💡 Fertility treatment is not only about medications.
It’s also about lifestyle correction.

Small changes. Big impact.

If you’re trying to conceive and unsure where to start, let’s talk. ❤️
