I am also committed to changing the earth through birth as a Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator I see childbirth as a rite of passage where every woman deserves the support of another woman for companionship, to educate, empower and love her. As your Professional Birth Doula, I will be committed to helping you prepare for the birth journey, being with you continuously during your time in
labour and supporting you with some aftercare in the first few weeks following the birth. From March 2020 I started some serious soul searching to decide how I would like to serve society for the remainder of my life, and I realized that I have always felt drawn to women and childbirth. I have a history of interest in the Healing Arts and studied Shiatsu Anma with a Dr. DoAnn Tsuneo Kaneko in Santa Monica, California (one of five pioneers who brought Shiatsu from Japan to the U.S.) I also studied Pregnancy massage at the Tao Healing Arts center with Ellen Heed, whose bodywork has an integrative East-meets-West approach. Following that, I moved overseas to Vietnam as a volunteer and came full circle in my own healing journey, going back to my roots and filling in the missing pieces of the puzzle and mystery of my own birth and country of origin and I was able to get some closure on my relinquishment into an adopted American family in April 1975. I have also recently taken a post-partum Pregnancy massage course from BiADoula in May 2022 that focused on hormonal rebalancing techniques. I have an intermediate level of Dutch that I continuously work on improving. I hope to be invited to be a part of your transition from Maiden to Mother or to support you in growing your family.
