Comment RETREAT and we’ll send you all the info for 2027 🌿

Stress isn’t the problem. Not being resilient enough to carry it — that’s where it turns into anxiety.

Louis says it simply: when your capacity is low, stress stops being “a hard week” and becomes a constant background question. Can I actually handle this? That question, running on repeat, is what keeps your nervous system on alert.

Resilience isn’t something you’re born with. It’s built — mentally and physically, together. That’s exactly what we do at the Resilience Retreat: exercise, brain-body tools and the space to practise them, so the next time stress shows up, your body has an answer.

Not “nothing stresses me anymore.” But: this is something I feel — and I can deal with it.

Save this the next time you’re stuck at your desk trying to force an idea.

I always have my best thoughts on my bike. Never when I sit down and try to have them.

For a while I wondered why. It’s because I’m moving. My body comes out of that tense, stuck state, my breathing opens up, and my eyes take in new things that spark new connections.

That’s the thing I keep seeing in my work too. You are not just a head to be talked at. Your clearest thinking, your calm, your good ideas, they all live in the body too.

So the next time your mind feels jammed, don’t push harder. Go for a walk. Get on your bike. Let your body help your brain catch up.

And when your thoughts feel stuck in a heavier way, the kind a bike ride doesn’t shift, you don’t have to sort it out alone. DM us CALL to book a free intro call with 💙

Burnout doesn't always look like burnout. 🔖

You might think you're just tired. Or lazy. Or not trying hard enough.

But burnout shows up differently:
- Constant fatigue that sleep doesn't fix
- Irritability at small things
- Simple tasks feel impossible
- Can't focus or make decisions
- Physical tension, headaches, body pain
- Can't switch off from work
- Feeling disconnected, like you're just going through the motions

Here's what matters: Burnout isn't a personal failure. It's not a lack of willpower.

It's your nervous system stuck in overdrive, signaling that something needs to change.

The vagus nerve, which controls your rest-and-digest response, can't do its job when you're running on empty without recovery. That's why rest alone doesn't always fix it. Your brain and body need to learn how to regulate again.

Recognition is the first step. Regulation is the next.

If this sounds familiar, you don't have to figure it out alone. Link in bio for a free intro call.

Some moments ask you to let go of control and trust the process instead.

Save this for the next time your thoughts won’t slow down.

When anxiety takes over, every thought starts to feel like a fact. Here is a small shift Jeannette uses to put some distance between you and the spiral.

Add four words in front of the thought: “I have a thought that.”

“I have a thought that I ruined it.”
“I have a thought that something bad is about to happen.”

Same thought. But now it is something you are having, not the truth about your day.

Then write one line underneath it: this will pass.

You won’t fully believe it in the hard moment, and that is exactly why you write it down before the moment comes. Keep it somewhere you will see it. Your mirror, your phone, the back of your notebook.

When your mind stays loud and the anxiety sits in your body too, you don’t have to work through it alone. DM us CALL to book a free intro call with 💙

Why do we call a woman's tears emotional, but a man's anger something else?

Jeannette saw it all over the World Cup. Same intensity, different labels. Women get called hysterical. Men get called fierce. But when anger tips into rage and you're out of control, that has a name too: a dysregulated nervous system, brain & body.

It's not a character flaw. It's not weakness. It's the body doing what it does when it's been holding too much.

At we help you regulate that from the inside, not just talk around it.

Just a few spots left for this Saturday’s Women’s Circle in Amsterdam 🌸 (link in bio)

We keep this circle small on purpose, so there’s real room to slow down and be held. That also means places go quickly.

If you’ve been thinking about giving yourself these two hours to breathe, regulate, and reconnect, this is your sign. Saturday August 29, 10:30 to 13:00.

Book before it fills 💚 Guided by . In English, all women welcome, no experience needed.

Feeling calmer speaking Dutch starts here. Link in bio to save your spot.

You know the Dutch words. But the moment you have to speak, your heart races and your mind goes blank. So you switch back to English.

Sound familiar?

On Saturday 5 September, psychologist and Dutch teacher are hosting a small-group workshop that combines psychology and language learning.

Together we'll explore why speaking a new language feels so stressful, and what actually helps. You'll learn to calm your nervous system in the moment and practise real, everyday situations in Dutch.

The goal isn't perfect Dutch. It's staying in the conversation with more ease.

For expats with basic Dutch (A2+) who understand it, but don't feel comfortable speaking yet.

Small group of 6 to 8. Lunch included. Link in bio.
