Not all Category III disposable gloves provide the same level of protection against chemicals.

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, operators may be exposed throughout the day to a range of substances, including disinfectants such as 70% isopropanol (IPA).

A glove's chemical resistance depends not only on its material and thickness, but also on its conditions of use. Body heat, mechanical stress during use and moisture generated by perspiration can all influence chemical breakthrough performance.

This is why selecting a glove based solely on its chemical protection type (A, B or C) is not always enough. The chemicals used during testing may differ from those handled in the workplace.
