Music has a key. A chord. A note it circles back to, something familiar to hold onto.
The gong doesn't offer you that. There's nothing to hold onto, and maybe that's the point.

But the gong is closer to what's actually true: that everything, all of it, is vibration. So when you lie beneath one, you're not really listening to an instrument. You're listening to whatever your own perception happens to be ready for that day.
