So called dolphin-assisted therapies with captive dolphins are sadly a successful and booming industry. More and more dolphins are taken from the ocean, usually with the rest of their family killed before their eyes, in order to assist in therapies for humans. Through the magic of 360°VR we are able to offer the same experience, AND the dolphins stay in their own home, the free oceans of the world

. Where they belong! Medical researchers have embraced the project. Research with our footage is going on at Stanford University, California, Weil Cornell, NY and at UMCG, the Netherlands. So this could be a future medicine, affordable and available for a large group of people, everywhere. For the love of dolphins, for the love of people.

Komende donderdagavond Captain’s dinner in cultureel centrum Milûk in Harlingen. Het beloofd een mooie avond te worden met sprekers die vertellen over hun oceaan avonturen. En er is gelegenheid om te zwemmen met wilde dolfijnen in VR. Er zijn nog enkele kaarten.

Een preview van onze VR Cinema in DOK5. Altijd al eens willen ervaren hoe het voelt om tussen een grote school wilde dolfijnen te zwemmen? De rust, de inspiratie en het helende effect? Van een kunstproject tot een medicijn, in gebruik in meer dan 4500 ziekenhuizen en instellingen wereldwijd. Nu toegankelijk voor iedereen! Welkom op zondagmiddag 28 December in de haven van Harlingen.

Zondag 28 december van 13-17 uur gooit DOK5 de deuren open voor het publiek. Tijdens de WinterExpeditie is een scala aan activiteiten te beleven.
