BOTH GOOD SQUATS
JUST DIFFERENT ANATOMY
The squat is the same exercise. But every body uses it differently.
People with long femurs usually squat with:
* more forward lean
* more hip work
* less knee movement
People with short femurs usually squat with:
* a more upright position
* more knee movement
* more quad (front thigh) work
Both squat patterns are correct. Both are safe when well controlled. Both can produce strength.
But they do not load the body in the same way.
Short femurs usually make it easier to train the quads through a full range of motion.
Long femurs tend to shift more load to the hips and back of the body earlier in the movement.
This is why two people can squat for years with the same effort…
and still develop their legs very differently.
The problem is not effort.
The problem is using the same technique for different body structures.
The solution is simple:
adjust stance, heel height, bar position, and exercise choice based on your body.
There is no perfect squat.
Only the squat that fits your structure.
