HPN Clinic Supports Women's Health Through Freedom Kit Bag Distribution
HPN Clinic successfully organised a dedicated Women's Health Camp, providing comprehensive care to 30 women suffering from lower abdominal pain, abnormal vaginal discharge, menstrual problems, and other gynaecological concerns. As part of the programme, all participants were also screened for cervical cancer, promoting early detection and prevention.
Each woman received a Freedom Kit Bag (FKB) to support safe and dignified menstrual hygiene. These valuable kits were generously supported by Freedom Kit Bags UK, Rosa Matheson, and her dedicated team. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their continued commitment to improving women's health and dignity.
The programme was led by Dr Binod Dangal and Dr Archana KC, with the dedicated support of the entire HPN Clinic team.
A Story of Hope
One woman came to our clinic with persistent lower abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, and abnormal vaginal bleeding for three months. During evaluation, she was diagnosed with syphilis. Through compassionate counselling and further discussion, she also disclosed that she had been experiencing gender-based violence and significant psychological trauma.
Our team provided treatment for her sexually transmitted infection, mental health support and counselling, a Freedom Kit Bag to improve her menstrual hygiene, and guidance to access legal support. Today, she continues to attend regular follow-up visits and has regained trust in the healthcare system.
