✨ 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 & 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎-𝟐𝟎𝟖𝟑 ✨

Every academic year arrives carrying the quiet certainty of change. Some faces become memories, others become familiar, yet the spirit of an institution is renewed not by walls or traditions alone, but by the people who choose to carry them forward. Welcome & Farewell Program-2083 was a celebration of that enduring continuity.

With immense warmth, we welcomed the BSc.MLT 36th & 37th BSc MLT batches, along with the incoming scholars of MD Pathology, MD Biochemistry, MD Microbiology, and MSc Biochemistry, into a community where learning extends beyond classrooms and laboratories. With heartfelt gratitude, we bid farewell to the 32nd and 33rd BSc MLT batches, together with our graduating MD Pathology, MD Biochemistry, MD Microbiology, and MSc Biochemistry seniors, whose journeys have become part of the story this department continues to tell.

The day unfolded through heartfelt speeches, eloquent poetry, vibrant performances, graceful dances, music that dissolved the boundaries, shared laughter, and moments that photographs may preserve but never fully contain.

It also marked the ceremonial handover to the 23rd Executive Body, a transition that signifies not the transfer of authority, but the inheritance of responsibility. The occasion also celebrated academic achievement as Mr. Amit Neupane was honored with the Best Student Award 2083 in recognition of his outstanding academic performance, dedication, and perseverance throughout his four years in the BSc MLT program.

Our heartfelt gratitude extends to our respected faculty members, distinguished guests, generous sponsors, alumni, volunteers, performers, photographers, and every individual whose visible and invisible efforts transformed a program into a memory worthy of remembrance.

The laboratories will illuminate another microscope. Attendance registers will carry unfamiliar names. Seasons will change, responsibilities will pass from one hand to another, and time will continue its quiet work. In the end, what endures is never our presence alone, but the culture we cultivate, the kindness we extend, and the legacy we leave for those who follow. .

We are proud to share the successful completion of the Oral and E-Poster Presentation Program held on Baishakh 11, on the occasion of Medical Laboratory Professionals Week 2026. This academic gathering brought together undergraduate laboratory science students and postgraduate scholars in Clinical Biochemistry from across the nation.

Organized by the Department of Biochemistry, MMC, IOM, TU in collaboration with Nepal Medical Laboratory Students’ Society (NMLSS), the event was centered around the theme:
“Innovations in Diagnostic Biochemistry: Bridging Academics, Healthcare, and Research.”

The program featured a series of academic activities, including a plenary lecture on cutting-edge vaccine research, faculty presentation, oral presentations by postgraduate students, and e-poster presentations by undergraduate students. We were honored by the presence of our Guest Speaker ,Prof. Dr. Krishna Das Manandhar, whose remarks added great value to the program.

Also, we would like to Congratulate Ajay K. Shah for securing the Best Poster Award in the Undergraduate Category.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the individuals, institutions and dedicated students from across the nation who participated and contributed to the successful completion of the event. We are deeply grateful to our respected teachers, mentors, and evaluators for their invaluable guidance, critical appraisal, and continuous support in nurturing academic excellence.
