Fostering Future Healthcare Leaders

​Today, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming 2nd-year nursing students from the Phect Institute of Health Sciences to Richmond Fellowship Nepal!

​The students joined us for an immersive orientation session focused on the inner workings of a rehabilitation center. During their visit, we delved into:

Operational Dynamics: How a rehab runs day-to-day to create a safe, healing environment.

​Holistic Programs: The structured therapeutic interventions and recovery pathways we provide.

​The Complexities of Addiction: Breaking down the multi-faceted nature of substance use disorders from a clinical and empathetic perspective.

​Investing in the education of future healthcare professionals is vital to breaking the stigma surrounding addiction. Thank you, Phect Institute, for visiting us and for your engaging questions!

Today, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026, Richmond Fellowship Nepal, in collaboration with the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) and Kirtipur Municipality, successfully organized an impactful awareness program.

We were honored to have the Chief Guest, Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality Mr. Krishna Man Dangol, along with Deputy Mayor Ms. Shubha Lakshmi Shakya, DSP Mr. Shiva Budhathoki, Community Police Personnel Mr. Buddhiman Shrestha, and Traffic Police Mr. Ravi Thapa gracing the occasion with their presence.

A huge thank you to the students and teachers from various schools who joined us to take a stand against substance abuse.

We would also like to thank Ms. Sujata khadka and Ms. Poonam Dhaulakoti for helping as a host. We extend our special gratitude to psychosocial counselor and motivational speaker, Mr. Dipesh Shahi Thakuri, for delivering a beautiful and inspiring session that resonated with everyone.

A United Front for a Safer, Drug-Free Kirtipur!

​We are thrilled to share a major milestone in our ongoing efforts to support youth and combat drug addiction in Kirtipur Municipality. Jointly organized by Richmond Fellowship Nepal, a joint delegation successfully submitted a comprehensive proposal letter to the Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality, Mr. Krishna Man Dangol.

​Our collective initiative brings together key community stakeholders, including:

​Nepal Police & Community Police

​Foundation Treatment Center & Sankalpa Rehab Centre

​Local Sports Youth Groups

​Transportation Committee

​Teacher Association

​Our Core Focus Areas:

Targeting schools and youth, strengthening drug rehabilitation centers, boosting skill development opportunities, and enhancing local crime control.

​💡 The Big Win:

To ensure sustainable impact, we strongly recommended the formation of a dedicated Drug Control and Management Committee at Kirtipur Municipality. During the meeting, all participants actively voiced their views and concerns.

​We are incredibly grateful to Honorable Mayor Mr. Krishna Man Dangol, who expressed strong solidarity and made a firm commitment to form this committee as soon as possible, as well as integrate these vital programs into the budget for the upcoming fiscal year!

​Together, we are building a safer, healthier, and more resilient future for our youth.
