Scientific research plays a crucial role in modern day management of health and diseases. Research helps us create new knowledge which will be useful to maintain health and combat diseases. Involvement in health research is no longer an option but a requirement for all of us. To be well versed in research methodology is an integral part of academic life. This two-day workshop closely follows the guidelines set by the World Health Organization (HEALTH RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: A Guide for Training in Research Methods, second edition). This course involves an eminent research scientist, Prof. Anurag Srivastava from AIIMS, New Delhi, India as an invited faculty. It is hoped that participants as well as local resource persons will greatly benefit from his vast knowledge on this often 'dreadful' subject. This workshop will introduce current research methods in key areas of biomedical and clinical research and offer hands-on experience in implementing them
