Sambhavya Foundation is a mental health organization that envisions outreach of School Mental Health program and psychosocial counseling services throughout the country, primarily targeting children and young adults. WHO WE ARE:

aspiring youths to take a lead and be a change maker. Since its inception in 2018, Sambhavya Foundation has continuously reached out to schools inside and outside Kathmandu Valley with a school counselor to create awareness on psycho-social well being and mental health. With a vision of "One School One Counselor", Sambhavya Foundation has been working to promote emotional, behavioral, academic and mental well-being of students in Nepal.

In the aftermath of collective trauma, the wounds are not always visible but they live on in the nervous system, in disrupted sleep, in grief that lingers without closure. The Collective Healing Initiative under Nepal Rising’s Project Phoenix stands in solidarity with the GenZ survivors, the injured, and the families of the fallen,those navigating profound loss, survivor’s guilt, and post-traumatic distress during one of the most difficult chapters in recent times.

At Sambhavya Foundation, we acknowledge, perhaps we are late. But trauma does not follow a timeline, and neither should care. Through a multidisciplinary mental health approach, both in-person and online, we are committed to creating safe spaces for emotional processing, restoring a sense of safety, and supporting pathways toward resilience and recovery. In these moments of collective grief, healing must also be collective and we will continue to show up, with empathy, evidence-based care, and constant commitment.

We are honored to sign an MOU with Chandragiri Municipality to advance a shared vision of placing mental health at the center of education and community development.

At a time when global evidence continues to show that many mental health challenges begin during childhood and adolescence, schools remain one of the most powerful platforms for prevention, early identification, and timely support. Through this collaboration, we aim to reach 15+ community schools by strengthening mental health literacy, reducing stigma, normalizing conversations around wellbeing, and expanding access to multidisciplinary mental health services.

Our commitment goes beyond awareness. Through empowerment initiatives, workforce capacity-building, prevention frameworks, psychosocial support systems, early screening pathways, and referral mechanisms, we are working to build sustainable systems that strengthen the entire school ecosystem students, educators, parents, and communities.

Every child supported early is a life redirected toward hope. Every teacher equipped is a frontline protector. Every school empowered becomes a safer space for learning, belonging, and growth.
