As part of our Dashain celebration, our children participated in the traditional Jamara planting activity. Through this meaningful experience, they had the opportunity to learn about our culture and traditions while enjoying a hands-on activity.

New routines can feel challenging, especially for children with autism. At NIPC Special School, we use visual schedules and gentle preparation so every child knows what comes next, and feels safe doing it.

🌱 Prepare. Show. Reassure.

✔️ Prepare: talk about changes ahead of time
✔️ Show: use picture cards and visual schedules
✔️ Reassure: offer calm, patient support at every step

A little preparation can turn uncertainty into confidence. Try a simple visual schedule at home too, and see the difference. 🤝

A meaningful day of learning, creativity, and connection at the Training of Trainers (TOT): Narrative Drawing Intervention – Hello, Monster! session, facilitated by Dr. Monica Wong, Clinical Psychologist, Art Therapist, and Founder of Narrative Drawing Intervention®.
