Expanding our reach, strengthening our impact 🌍

As part of our Public Engagement (PE) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), we expanded our activities across multiple wards of Kathmandu, engaging a diverse audience including teachers’ groups, yoga clubs, and community members. The sessions were designed to be highly interactive, encouraging open discussion and active participation.

The sessions were conducted and facilitated by Dr. Bimal Kumar Bista , Dr. Bidhya Sharma , Dr. Aastha Ghimire , and nurses Durga Bishra and Seema Poudyal , all of whom played an active role in leading the engagement. The program included pre- and post-tests to assess knowledge gain, along with interactive activities such as a “Myths and Facts” game to address common misconceptions about AMR.

Through these inclusive and participatory approaches, we aimed to raise awareness, strengthen understanding, and empower communities to take informed actions against AMR

Study Close-Out Meeting Successfully Conducted!

OUCRU Nepal successfully organized the Study Close-Out Meeting for the project on “Feasibility of Using Real-Time AI Monitoring in Hospitalized Patients with Community-Acquired Pneumonia and Suspected Sepsis”
Conducted at Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, this study explored the use of low-cost, non-invasive wearable devices for continuous patient monitoring. The preliminary findings highlight the potential of using wearable devices to remotely monitor critically ill patients, to ease the burden on healthcare systems, especially in low- and middle-income countries like Nepal.
🙏 We extend our sincere gratitude to all collaborators, healthcare professionals, and participants who made this project possible.
