Another day of Caregivers Support group, where stories of resilience, love, and collective wisdom continued to unfold. Parents shared the richness of their know-how, skills, and everyday practices of care — holding not only their children’s stories, but also each other’s stories with tenderness and skills .Each conversation carried reminders of the many ways caregivers nurture hope, sustain one another, and honour their own expertise in caring.

After working In-person for more than a year and witnessing the magic that stitching created within groups and communities, We began imagining how stitching may have long offered solidarity to our mothers and grandmothers — a way to share stories, carry grief, celebrate joys, and kept hope alive across generations.Perhaps stitching has always been more than thread and fabric.

With this spirit, we are bringing Stitching Stories online — a space to hold stories of hope as we navigate this disabling world together. Through the practice of stitching, and through acts of love, care, and collective witnessing, we hope to sustain hope and nurture solidarity.

Samatha Psycho-social care is starting a support group for the caregivers of children with disabilities (Autism, AdHD, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy and others with the intention to create a community of care and solidarity to share their lived experiences and know hows of each other.
