The Patan Academy of Health Sciences is a public not-for-profit tertiary academic institution dedicated to improving Nepal's rural health by training health workers for rural Nepal. with a charter granted by parliament of Nepal with Patan Hospital as its teaching hospital, which has decades of history on excellence of service. PAHS aims to work in close partnership with the national health system
to improve the health care services in rural/remote areas through, among others, producing technically competent and socially responsible health care personnel, facilitating their deployment in the underserved rural areas and providing the needed technical and professional support while they work there.
