Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), achieved a major medical milestone by performing its first-ever corneal transplant on the occasion of World Sight Day.

A medical team led by cornea specialist Dr. Anima Deshar successfully operated on a 63-year-old female patient suffering from Pseudophakic Bullous Keratopathy a condition causing corneal swelling and vision loss following artificial lens placement.

PAHS Conduct Free Health Camp for Flood-Affected Children in Thecho Holding Centre

In a timely humanitarian response, the child specialits and dedicated faculty members from Department of Paediatrics, Patan Hospital-PAHS Dr. Anil Raj Ojha and Dr. Bijesh Shrestha successfully conducted a specialized health camp for flood-affected children at the holding center in Thecho, Lalitpur.
The relief health camp focused on addressing urgent health concerns among displaced children staying at the shelter following recent severe weather and flooding across the district.
During the camp, the doctors provided free pediatric consultations, health screenings, and necessary medications. They also offered health counseling on sanitation, vector-borne disease prevention, and safe drinking water practices to protect children from post-flood disease outbreaks.
