URTICARIA (HIVES) | डाबर आउने समस्या छ?

के तपाईंको छालामा अचानक रातो, उठेको, धेरै चिलाउने डाबर आउँछ र केही घण्टामै हराएर अर्को ठाउँमा देखा पर्छ?

यो Urticaria (Hives) हुन सक्छ।

✅ What is Urticaria? | Urticaria भनेको के हो?
Urticaria is a skin reaction causing sudden, itchy, raised wheals that may come and go within hours.
छालामा अचानक आउने, उठेको र धेरै चिलाउने डाबरलाई Urticaria भनिन्छ।

⚡ What causes it? | के कारणले हुन्छ?
Possible triggers include:
• Certain foods or medicines
• Viral or other infections
• Heat, cold, pressure or exercise
• Insect bites/stings
• Sometimes, especially in chronic urticaria, no specific cause is found

💊 How is it treated? | उपचार कसरी गरिन्छ?
✔️ Avoid a known trigger when clearly identified
✔️ Non-sedating antihistamines are the main treatment
✔️ Persistent or recurrent urticaria may need specialist-guided treatment
❌ अनावश्यक रूपमा खाना बन्द गर्ने वा आफैं steroid/औषधि प्रयोग नगर्नुहोस्।

👨‍⚕️ When should you consult a specialist?
यदि Urticaria बारम्बार आउँछ, ६ हप्ताभन्दा बढी रहन्छ, उपचारले नियन्त्रण हुँदैन, वा बारम्बार ओठ/आँखा सुन्निन्छ भने Dermatologist/Allergy specialist सँग परामर्श गर्नुहोस्।

सबै “मुसा” एउटै हुँदैनन्!

In Nepali, both viral warts and skin tags (acrochordons) are commonly called “मुसा (musa).” However, they are actually two different skin conditions.

👉 Viral Wart
* Caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
* Often has a rough or firm surface
* Can appear on the hands, feet, face, or other parts of the body
* Can spread from one area to another or from one person to another

👉 Skin Tag / Acrochordon
* Usually soft, flesh-colored, and may hang from the skin
* Commonly appears on the neck, armpits, groin, and other skin-fold areas
* It is not caused by a virus
* Generally not contagious

⚠️ Therefore, do not use the same medicine or home remedy for every lesion simply because it is called “musa.” Incorrect treatment may cause skin burns, pigmentation, scarring, or worsen the condition.

✅ For proper diagnosis and treatment, consult a dermatologist.

नेपाली भाषामा Viral Wart र Skin Tag (Acrochordon) दुवैलाई प्रायः “मुसा” भनिन्छ। तर वास्तवमा यी दुई फरक समस्या हुन्।

👉 Viral Wart (भाइरल मुसा)
• HPV भाइरसका कारण हुन्छ
• सतह खस्रो/कडा हुन सक्छ
• हात, खुट्टा, अनुहार वा अन्य भागमा देखिन सक्छ
• एक ठाउँबाट अर्को ठाउँ वा अरू व्यक्तिमा सर्न सक्छ

👉 Skin Tag / Acrochordon
• नरम, मासुजस्तो झुन्डिएको हुन्छ
• घाँटी, काखी, जाँघको जोडजस्ता ठाउँमा बढी देखिन्छ
• यो भाइरसका कारण हुने होइन
• सामान्यतया संक्रामक हुँदैन

⚠️ त्यसैले “मुसा” देखियो भन्दै एउटै औषधि वा घरेलु उपचार प्रयोग नगर्नुहोस्। गलत उपचारले छाला पोल्ने, दाग बस्ने वा समस्या बढ्न सक्छ।

✅ सही पहिचान र उपचारका लागि Dermatologist सँग परामर्श गर्नुहोस्।

📌 याद राख्नुहोस्:
नाम एउटै — “मुसा”
तर रोग फरक, कारण फरक र उपचार पनि फरक!
