There was once a man who believed nothing in this world could function without him.
He thought his wife, mother, father, son, and daughter could never survive his absence.
He believed his friends would remain sad and helpless without him.
Slowly, he placed himself at the center of everyone’s world.
Then one day, he was gone.
And life continued…..
The mornings still arrived, the birds still sang, people still laughed, children still grew, and the world kept turning as it always had.
Like a speck of dust carried away by the wind, he disappeared into time.
Some remembered him once in a while, with a passing thought or fading memory.
But most rarely thought of him at all.
And perhaps that is life’s quiet lesson …
we are far smaller than our pride imagines, yet far more meaningful when we live with humility, love, and kindness rather than the illusion that the world revolves around us.
