Blood tests made convenient!

Silverdale Medical is expanding the phlebotomy service, meaning our nurses can take your blood sample at the clinic when your GP has requested blood tests.

Blood tests can help your GP check things such as:
🩸 Cholesterol and blood sugar
🩸 Iron levels
🩸 Hormone levels
🩸 Kidney and liver function

Nurse phlebotomy fee: $20

If your GP has ordered blood tests for you, you can book an appointment with one of our nurses to have your bloods taken right here at Silverdale Medical.

A convenient option, particularly if your blood test has been requested as part of your GP consultation.

Please note: Laboratory testing fees may apply separately for non-funded blood tests.

This October, enrolled patients at Silverdale Medical can access a FREE cervical screening self-swab.

Instead of having a nurse do the swab for you, you do the swab yourself. This can feel more private and comfortable than having a nurse take the sample.

💚 KEEP YOURSELF & YOUR WHĀNAU PROTECTED THIS FLU SEASON

Flu cases are increasing across Aotearoa, and young children are among those most affected. Now is a good time to make sure you and your whānau are protected.

👶 FREE flu vaccinations are available for all children aged 6 months to under 5 years. There are no additional eligibility criteria, every child in this age group is eligible.

Flu vaccinations are also funded for:
• People aged 65 and over.
• Pregnant women.
• People under 65 with a health condition that puts them at higher risk of serious illness.

Funding for eligible flu vaccinations is available until 31 December 2026, but with flu cases currently increasing, we encourage you to get protected sooner rather than later.
