Wednesdays are a great day for old fashioned 'visitin'. Powley made the most of the day. A drop in to Pinesong Village for a cuppa and bit of OP shopping. Then on to Fo Guang Art exhibit where our resident Ron Gribble found a tour of ladies oohhing over his art. Then down to Clevedon to wander the streets of our Otau Village. And who do we meet on the backroads... Langford Park Village! Then home to the sweetest village of all..Powley.

Powley Village enjoyed a sunny Tuesday with another great lunch from Chef Manish. Steak an Kidney Pie! Then a stroll down memory lane with the music of Jacqueline. Finally an old fashioned Ice Cream Buffet. With home made fudge sauce..wonderful Chef!

Powley Village enjoyed Part 2 of James Duncan's History of the Auckland Trams. Most enjoyable was the old tram video complete with backing music from the Avondale Wurlitaer organ. Auckland city traffic was a game of 'chicken' back in the old days!

The sun did its best to shine on the Powley Market Day. Chef Manish and team put on a very special morning tea at our Connell Cafe. Manager BJ over seeing the goodies and Pauline buying a hopefully lucky raffle ticket. How lovely to see so many friends and family drop in.

Powley Village enjoyed a musical afternoon with the Pinesong Choir. Powley residents Yvonne and Graham showed off their skills as members of the choir. And a spot of tea after ...for all the thirsty work.

Tune in for some lockdown entertainment tonight with a special online concert by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra at 8pm 🎵

The show will feature the Beethoven Symphonies 6 and 7, and all Metlifecare residents and friends are invited to watch for free.

Please note, the concert was recorded while New Zealand was at alert level 1.
