A client may book because she clenches, grinds or cannot open her mouth comfortably.

But once you begin looking beyond the jaw, the treatment can change far more than she expected.

These results came from different clients, different practitioners and different starting points. They are not one protocol repeated seven times.

They are what becomes possible when a practitioner understands how the jaw relates to breathing, posture, fascia, the diaphragm, the pelvis and the nervous system - and knows how to make different decisions for every body.

The final Jaw Release intake of 2026 begins on 20 October.

The training is completely online.

My Makar, today you are 10!!!

Ten years ago, you changed the whole matrix of our lives. Along with you, a new version of me was born - your mum. You were the beginning of us as a family, and what an adventure these ten years with you have been.

So much laughter, so many places explored together, so much fun we might never have had without you. I look at you now and can’t quite believe that the tiny boy I held against my chest is already this person I love spending time with, talking to and discovering the world alongside.

You have the kindest heart and this beautiful lightness about you. There is something quite magical about being around you, and I hope you know how much we love the person you are - such a caring friend, such a gentle soul, with enough courage to attempt things in sport that leave me watching through my fingers 😂

And somehow, you are also the most patient big brother. We certainly didn’t give you the easiest little teammate, but seeing how much love you have for him gets me every time.

We are so proud of you, my boy. Of what you do, of how you treat people, of all the little things you probably don’t even realise we notice.

Ten years of loving you, and I still sometimes look at you in disbelief that I get to be your mum.

Happy birthday, Makar. We love you endlessly. ###

My baby turned six ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Martin, my absolutely free spirit, my wild child, my little obsession and the best snuggler. I adore your freedom, your sense of who you are, your style and your confidence. You make absolutely everyone fall in love with you, and being your mum is such a ridiculous joy.

When I started creating Face Up, I didn’t even know I was already pregnant with you. So in a way, you were there from the very beginning - you and Face Up growing into my life together. That will always feel so special to me.

You are so sensitive and so powerful, and I love watching you be so completely yourself.

We are beyond lucky that you chose us to be your family. Happy birthday, my baby ######

Thousands of new people have found my page recently, and I realised I haven’t introduced myself properly in a very long time.

Where do I begin?

Probably with the truth: I’m quite allergic to fake. And, apparently, I’m a good witch.

I’m Olga Newman. I’m 43, a mother of two, the founder of the Face Up™ Method, and I train professionals around the world to read and work with the face in a completely different way.

This account is now primarily for professionals.

Face Up™ Training is our complete professional education: deep anatomy and facial work combined with posture, fascia, breath, somatics, energy and nervous system regulation. We work through the face, but the experience - for both practitioner and client - goes far beyond it.

I also teach Jaw Release, a fully online professional programme that has nothing to do with painful, hyped-up buccal techniques. We look at why the jaw holds tension in the first place and work through the entire body, structure, nervous system, somatics and energy. The next course begins on 20 October, and only 10 places remain in this group.

And if you are here for yourself, I recently created a separate account, In Her Skin | Olga Newman . That is where I share more of the real me, speak honestly about the experience of being a woman, and explore what we can do for our own face, posture, jaw, body and nervous system through everyday practice and the Face Up Club.

This page Olga Newman | Facial Longevity + Jaw Release is for professionals. In Her Skin | Olga Newman is for you.

And if you’re new here, I’d genuinely love to know: what brought you to this page, and what would you like to find here?

Painful jaw releases have become almost a genre of their own on social media.

We see intense pressure, tears, dramatic reactions and it can look as though the more painful the treatment is, the deeper and more effective the release must be.

At the same time, jaw tension has become one of the most common complaints we hear from clients. People are genuinely struggling. They clench, grind their teeth, wake up with headaches, feel constant pressure through the face and neck and they are looking for relief.

But something I hear far too often is:

“It was so painful that I was afraid to go back.”

And this is where we need to look deeper.

The jaw already holds a significant amount of stress, anxiety and protection. When we introduce more pain, the nervous system may perceive the treatment as another threat. The body produces another stress response, tension increases, cortisol may rise and the jaw protects itself even more.

It becomes a snowball: anxiety creates tension, painful treatment creates more anxiety, and the client still doesn’t find lasting relief.

Jaw release is not about how deeply we can press. It is about understanding why the jaw is holding in the first place and how it connects with breathing, the neck, posture, the pelvis and the nervous system.

I’ll be exploring this much more deeply in my free Jaw Release webinar for beauty, massage and wellness professionals on 24 September.

I never really thought this moment would come.

This Auckland training was incredibly special to me. It was my final Face Up™ training in New Zealand - where this entire training journey began - and the first one I taught together with Rachel.

In many ways, it felt like a full circle: closing one chapter while watching the next begin right beside me.

Some of our students had been waiting for this moment for almost three years, since I first began bringing Face Up™ trainings to New Zealand. Each arrived with her own very personal WHY and that matters deeply to me.

Face Up™ has become an application-only training. Not because we are looking for a certain level of experience, but because this work requires curiosity, emotional maturity and a genuine willingness to go deeper. It is never simply about learning another sequence of techniques.

We begin with the practitioner herself.

Before learning to read and work with another person’s body, our students experience the work through their own: their posture, breath, tension patterns, nervous system and the ways they have learned to hold themselves. This is why every group becomes so strong and unique and this Auckland group was no exception.

And then there was Rachel.

She completed the training with me 2,5 years ago, and since then I have watched her grow in her work, confidence and life. Today, she has a thriving practice, her own beautiful studio, and is now our licensed Face Up™ trainer in NZ. We’ve spent over a year preparing for her to step into this role.

Seeing her demonstrate beside me made me incredibly proud. I know the depth, care and integrity she will bring to every group she teaches, and I couldn’t imagine a better person to carry this work forward.

From now on, Rachel will lead Face Up™ trainings here in New Zealand, beginning with Auckland and Tauranga later this year. These will be especially intimate groups, allowing even more individual guidance and hands-on support.

So this isn’t an ending. It is Face Up™ in New Zealand entering its next chapter.

Applications are now open. If you feel this may be your time, DM either Rachel or me. We would love to hear your WHY ♥️

“She wore a mouthguard to protect her teeth but her jaw became so restricted that she couldn’t bite into a banana.”

I’ve written an article for you in my professional WhatsApp channel explaining why this happens and how the right jaw work may save your clients thousands in future dental costs.

Comment DENTIST below, and I’ll send you directly to the article.

Some clients know immediately: “I hold all my stress in my jaw.” But many do not mention the jaw at all.
⠀
They talk about tired teeth in the morning, headaches, pressure around the ears, a neck that never really lets go, or the feeling that they cannot fully relax on the table.
And then you touch the jaw and they are shocked by how much tension is sitting there. One symptom never proves that the jaw is the cause. But these details should make a good practitioner curious enough to include it in the wider picture.
⠀
The full 10-minute podcast is in my WhatsApp channel. I explain why the jaw keeps tightening and why working only on the place that feels tight often gives us only part of the answer. Comment “JAW” and I’ll send you the link.
⠀
On 24 September I’ll take this into real cases on the live workshop! Register through the link in bio Olga Newman | Facial Longevity + Jaw Release

Some clients come in already saying, “I hold all my stress in my jaw,” or, “All my anxiety goes straight here.” They can feel the clenching and they know the jaw is part of the problem.
⠀
But many people have no idea. I can see the tension when they walk in, yet when I ask about the jaw, they say no, nothing there. Then I begin to touch the area and they are genuinely shocked by how much the body has been holding without them feeling it.
⠀
For me, this is why the jaw is never only a tight muscle. I want to see how the person breathes, how she stands, what the shoulders and pelvis are doing, and what keeps bringing the body back into the same protective pattern. I explain this more deeply in my WhatsApp channel for professionals.
⠀
Comment JAW and I’ll send you the link to what’s app to learn about jaw tension.
⠀
Then on 24 September I’m going to open the real cases and show you how I read what the body is telling us before I choose a technique.

One of the biggest myths about face massage: “It will stretch my skin.”

We’ve been hearing this for generations don’t touch your face, don’t pull the skin, don’t massage too much.

But your face needs touch, just like the rest of your body. Without movement and touch, fascia can become tighter and less mobile which is the opposite of what we want.

And skin itself is incredibly adaptable. Anyone who has been pregnant has seen just how dramatically skin can stretch and then remodel afterwards.

So no, you’re not going to “stretch out” your face by touching and massaging it.

I explain why in the video 👆

Save this & share it with a friend who is still scared to touch her face because she thinks she’ll stretch her skin.
