✨ Explore ways of moving with greater freedom and longevity
✨ Learn an accessible introduction to the Ashtanga practice
✨ Enjoy a shared breakfast break

Dena is one of the few students to have completed the Ashtanga Fourth Series and is a Certified teacher through Pattabhi Jois. Together, Dena and Jack bring decades of practice, exploration and teaching experience.

Peter guided students from the contemporary understanding of the chakras into the much richer symbolism and meditation practices of the classical Ta***ic chakra system — exploring traditional symbols, bīja mantras, deities, kuṇḍalinī and meditative visualisation.

A particularly enjoyable part of the workshop was working with The Chakra Colouring Book. This wasn’t simply colouring for relaxation. The process of carefully colouring the intricate chakra symbols helps students become familiar with their shapes, colours and details — effectively creating a visualisation to hold in the mind during meditation. The workshop then moved from the physical image into meditation: visualising the chakra symbols and working progressively from Mūlādhāra upward.

It’s a simple example of how an adult colouring exercise can become a genuine learning tool: look closely → colour carefully → remember the image → visualise it in meditation.

Peter has been practising chakra meditation since 2000, and it was lovely to see that depth of personal practice translated into such an engaging and practical workshop.

Thank you to everyone who joined Peter for the journey. 🧘‍♀️✨

Here Barry is adjusting Yana in Trivikunsana, helping me find both stability and extension in the pose.

Trivikunsana asks for two qualities at once: strength and stability through the standing leg, while developing flexibility and freedom through the lifted leg and hip.

This is part of the ongoing process of yoga practice — learning, refining, and passing knowledge from teacher to student over many years.

Teacher trainees come from a wide array of backgrounds and more than often they are reshaping or tweaking their future realising that health is the new wealth. Teaching yoga is a wonderful contribution to make to one’s community.
We are so happy that Ingrid found her way to us and is continuing on to the next level of training as well as teaching beginner classes at our Academy on Wednesday 5.30pm and 6.30pm.🦋🦋🦋

Today with a sense of accomplishment Yana said “I still remember the first time I tried Prasarita Padottanasana C. I honestly thought, “I’ll never be able to do this.” When my teacher adjusted me, I felt equal parts frightened and excited.
Looking back now reminds me that growth often begins just beyond what we think is possible.
Trust the process. Keep showing up.”

So beautiful watching the younger yogini’s progressing and what a privilege to pass on the traditional teaching to keen dedicated practitioners like Xiaojie s
