Driven by performance, backed by experience 💪

With over a decade of experience, Matt has been helping people move better and perform at their best since graduating from Leeds Beckett University in 2013, bringing a wealth of knowledge from the UK to Auckland.

He thrives on working with active individuals and athletes, supporting them through injury, rebuilding confidence, and getting them back to doing what they love. No two rehab journeys are ever the same!

With experience across the NHS, elite sport including Burnley Football Club, and specialist orthopaedic centres, Matt brings a well-rounded and high-performance approach to every session. His own journey through hip surgeries also gives him a practical, relatable understanding of rehab from both sides of the table.

Matt has a special interest in lower limb injuries and orthopaedic rehabilitation, and is currently completing further postgraduate study with a focus on female athlete health, ensuring his care stays both current and comprehensive.

Whether he’s in the clinic, on the sidelines, or out enjoying football, running, or snow sports, Matt brings the same honest guidance, energy, and results-driven approach to everything he does ⚽🏃‍♂️💪

Episode 2 of our Myths vs. Facts series.

A common misconception in the health sector!

“You need a scan to diagnose you.”

Truth is, not always!

Here at Unisports we conduct a thorough examination to inform clinical diagnoses for your presenting conditions. Bonus is, we work closely with Auckland radiology who is right next door and can book you in for your imaging referrals (if necessary) straight away! How good is that 🤭
