With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our much-loved pāpā, Waata “Buddy” Richard Wihone.

Waata (Buddy) passed peacefully on Tuesday 29 September 2026 at 1:30am, Tamaki Makaurau🕊️ 72 ōna pakeke.

Papa is being cared for by Tipene Funerals Home. Wednesday 30 October 7:30am - Karakia will take place for pāpā. The convoy will be leaving Tipene Funerals, Onehunga at 8:00am as we take Pāpā back to his haukainga ki Panguru Papata where he will lay and rest at Waipuna Marae.

Our beloved father, cherished paka (grandfather) & brother Tevita Molisi Tai known as Pepe Tai sadly passed away suddenly 27th September 2026.

Whānau Service/ A pō — Tuesday 29 September, 6:30pm
Everyone is welcome to come along, share stories and memories, and spend time together as we honour Dad.

Funeral Service — Wednesday 30th September, 11:00am

Both services will be held at:
Equippers Church Manukau
13 Gladding Place, Manukau

Parking at the church is limited, so an alternative is to park at Westfield Manukau and walk over. It’s approximately an 8-minute walk.

In loving memory, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Tofilua Aiono-Mu, on 12 September 2026, aged 58.

A beautiful smile that could light up a room, your laughter so joyful and contagious, your presence a blessing, and a heart of gold that drew so many people towards you. You were authentic, which made you so loved by us all. The sadness and suffering within our hearts is unimaginable, but God has promised those who mourn that He sees and hears all, and that He holds us in His care.

A dearly beloved husband to Rita Foaese-Aiono-Mu.

Father to Nina & Aviu, Cyrus & Rebekah, Nathaniel, and Caleb; Papa to Neveah, Lordez, and Micah.

Brother to So'o, Pitolua, Epati, Numia (dec), Palauni, Falaseu (dec), Fuatino, Kereti (dec), Tiumalu Leaisemanueolo (dec), Semaile, Fuatino Leaupepetele, Lise Leaupepetele, Nick Leger, and Maua Miller; and in-law to Taua Tusani, Kale Vaega, Lisha Aiono, Nancy (dec) & Tala Alo, Mary Foaese, Dorina & Lotu Uitime, Gina & Iona Uitime, Cecilia Foaese & Glen Flutey, and Margaret Foaese & Dan McGill.

Tau Te Mataki has been laying in state at 36 Dogwood Way,

Milson, Palmerston North since Saturday 12 September 2026 until Service day.
On Monday 14 September 2026 at 10 am service will be held at The Salvation Army Corps, 124 Manchester Street, Feilding.

Following this Tau will be buried at the Rongopai Urupā, 72 Rongopai Road, Awahuri, Palmerston North.

All are welcome back to Hakari which will be held back at The Salvation Army Corps, 124 Manchester Street, Feilding.

In loving memory of Daniel Niuato Alexander Demicoli Patelesio. Our family is saddened to share that our beloved Daniel passed away early Tuesday morning 1 September 2026.

Daniel will be resting before his last journey, at Horouta Marae (8 Whitford Brown Avenue, Papakōwhai, Porirua) from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September.

Tauilo was a devoted daughter of Kavemamao and Sinanu'u Ioapo, a loving mother to Lihe, Melina, Shalom and Mark Jr, a cherished grandmother to John, Malachi, Joshua, Aaisha, Cornilius, Melina, Sivena, Paisley, Baby Shalom and Ace, a beloved sister to Pua, Falesa, Fa'atasiga, Ailini Matafele, Tupotu John, Inualiki, Niusulu Rob, Papa Melina and Mautu. She was also a treasured aunty, cousin, and friend to many.

We will have be having devotions from Thursday 3rd September at 5pm and tomorrow Friday 4th September at 5pm. Both held at Tipene Funerals.

A Family Service for Tauilo will be held at Pahina O Tokelau on Sunday 6th September at 6pm
Funeral Service will be at Pahina o Tokelau on Tuesday 8th September at 11am

MORAN, Trixie Alice Mihi Matenga16 July 1963 – 2 September 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mum and Nani, Trixie, who returned to her eternal rest in the early hours of Wednesday 2 September 2026, after a long health battle.

She was deeply loved and surrounded by her whānau over her final five days.Much loved mother of Paula, Jamie, and Shayden. Adored Nani of Archie. A cherished sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Mum will be resting at Takapūwāhia Marae from Thursday 3 September overnight for those who wish to pay their respects.

Her funeral service will take place at Takapūwāhia Marae on Friday 4 September 2026 at 11:00am, followed by burial at the Urupā where she will be laid to rest alongside her Dad.
