Welcoming Jennifer Lee to the team at Totally Psyched!

Jennifer joins us as part of our Neurodevelopmental Assessment team and will also be supporting young people and families through her therapy work.
Jennifer is a Senior Psychologist with a strong passion for culturally responsive, neurodivergent-affirming care.

She brings a holistic and compassionate approach to her work, recognising the importance of each person’s unique experiences, identity, and strengths. Jennifer works collaboratively with clients and families to build practical skills and create meaningful, positive change.

After spending the last few years in the UK working within the NHS, Jennifer has returned home to New Zealand and is looking forward to a change of pace while continuing the work she is passionate about. We are so pleased she has chosen to bring her experience and skills to the Totally Psyched team.

We are so happy to have Jennifer's expertise, and experience as part of the Totally Psyched whānau and know she will make a wonderful impact for the families we support.

Today is Pink Shirt Day in Aotearoa — a reminder that kindness, inclusion, and psychological safety matter in every space we occupy. 💗

At our practice, we see the lasting impact that bullying, exclusion, and feeling unsafe can have on mental health, self-esteem, relationships, and wellbeing. We also see the power of compassion, connection, and being truly seen and supported.

Pink Shirt Day is more than wearing pink. It’s about:
• speaking up when something isn’t right
• creating safe environments for children, young people, and adults
• valuing neurodiversity and individual differences
• fostering workplaces, schools, and communities where people feel accepted and respected

As mental health professionals, we believe small actions matter. A kind conversation, checking in on someone, making space for differences, and leading with empathy can have a meaningful impact.

Today, and every day, we stand for kindness, inclusion, and belonging.

Receiving an Autism diagnosis can be a meaningful step toward deeper understanding, but it can also bring new questions. We’re here to help.

At Totally Psyched, we offer practical, strengths-based support for individuals, families, and educators to build confidence and effective strategies moving forward.

How we can support you:

Parenting Support
Feel informed and empowered with guidance on communication, emotional regulation, routines, sensory needs, and strengthening connection at home.

Understanding the Autistic Brain
Gain insight into sensory processing, communication styles, executive functioning, and emotional regulation—helping you work with the brain, not against it.

Support for Teachers & Schools
We partner with educators to create inclusive environments through tailored classroom strategies, communication support, and practical tools for engagement and transitions.

Individualised Approach
Every person is unique. Our support is personalised, collaborative, and focused on real-life strategies that make a difference.

If you’re navigating life after an Autism diagnosis, you don’t have to do it alone.

At Totally Psyched, our team days are more than just time out of the clinic — they’re a reflection of who we are and what we value.

Connection and continuous learning sit at the heart of our practice. Taking the time to come together, share knowledge through professional development, and learn from one another strengthens not only our team, but the care we provide to our clients every day.

This week’s team day was the perfect blend — insightful PD presentations, meaningful conversations, and finishing off with a little friendly croquet competition (with some surprisingly competitive spirits!).

Investing in our people is investing in our clients. Grateful to work alongside such a passionate, engaged, and supportive team.
