🌙 Daily Marama with Tamara

Maramataka:
Korekore tuatahi - June 4
Korekore Rawea - June 5
Korekore whakapiri - June 5

Sensory experience : Low energy

For the next three days, we are moving through a series of low-energy moons 🌙🤍

This is your reminder to slow down, regulate your nervous system, and prioritise self-care without shame or guilt.

Low-energy days are not a sign that something is wrong with you.

They are a natural part of the rhythm of the Maramataka the Māori moon calendar.

🌿 Advice

• Reduce stimulation where possible
• Drink extra wai (water)
• Nourish your body with extra kai (food)
• Prioritise rest and recovery
• Say no to others when needed
• Say yes to yourself and your wellbeing

These are days to refill your cup.

The more you work with the natural rhythm of time, the more energy and clarity you create for the weeks ahead.

You don’t need to force productivity every day.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is:
✨ Slow down
✨ Rest
✨ Nourish yourself
✨ Listen to your body

The Maramataka is not about following someone else’s rules.

It’s about developing your own authentic relationship with the moon and understanding how different energies affect you personally.

When you learn your own rhythm, you become better equipped to navigate life with balance, awareness, and self-compassion.

✨ More tools and support at the link in our bio or at Xabilities.app

Utilising the Maramataka in my daily routine has changed my autism which has changed my developmental skills to be able to do more within my day to day life, which is a huge achievement for an autistic like myself, I hope this information finds you well, and help guide you like it has for myself.

Aroha nui,
Tamara 🤍

Both balanced energy

Just your friendly reminder that today and tomorrow’s moon are carrying balanced energy 🤍

This is the perfect time to observe the small habits you do every day because those habits become your future.

That is what you are bringing into your life.

🌿 Advice

• Observe your habits without judgement
• Journal your thoughts and patterns
• Notice what feels good and what doesn’t
• Express yourself creatively
• Budget, organise, and reset your foundations
• Stay aware of your daily behaviours

The key is awareness without shame.

you’re already manifesting every day through:
• Your routines
• Your reactions
• Your habits
• Your energy

The most important thing is to witness yourself without saying:
• “I should be able to…”
• “You should have done…”
• “I could have…”

Those thoughts keep us trapped in loops instead of learning from them.

Instead:
✨ “It is what it is.”
✨ “What can I learn from this?”
✨ “What actually feels authentic to me?”

Knowing:
“I like the beach.”
“I don’t like the city.”

helps you build a life that actually aligns with who you are.

Balanced moon energy is a beautiful time to express this awareness through:
• Journaling
• Creativity
• Budgeting
• Reflection
• Self-expression

My body was telling me I was doing too much.

My immune system was exhausted.
My nervous system was exhausted.
I was exhausted.

And deep down, I knew I needed to let something go.

So I did.

I let go of the pressure to constantly meet beauty standards.

The getting ready.
The pressure to always look “put together.”
The idea that my worth was connected to how polished I looked.

Now I use that energy to survive, heal, create, parent, work, and actually live.

Turns out…
peace and authenticity be a hair chop away 😂

Cutting ties the old fashioned way

🌙 Daily Marama with Tamara

Maramataka:
Te Rākaunui - 31 May
Rākaumatohi- 1 June

Energy: Highest energy for 2 days

If your mind feels like:
“rat-tat-tat-tat…”
and you can’t stop overthinking right now…
it may be the moon 🌕

For many neurodivergent people, this can increase:
• Sensory overload
• Panic and anxiety
• Mental chatter
• Overwhelm
• Fatigue after burnout
• Vulnerability to serious mental distress or crisis states

The key is to RELEASE the energy instead of letting it build up inside your nervous system.

🌿 Advice

• Put bare skin on the whenua (earth)
• Stay present and trust yourself
• Avoid over-planning and overthinking
• Move your body physically
• Stretch, walk, clean, or exercise
• Use movement to calm the chatter in your head

Grounding yourself on the earth may help reduce stress and inflammation and support nervous system regulation.

Physical movement helps discharge the excess energy that builds during high-energy moons.

The goal today is not to stay trapped in your head.
The goal is to move the energy through your body.

Whatever movement suits your authentic physicality:
• Hand yoga
• Stretching
• Walking
• Cleaning
• Workouts
• Stimming and repetitive movement

all of it can help regulate the nervous system and reduce overwhelm.

🌙 Daily Marama with Tamara

Maramataka: ohua
Energy: Low energy
Date: 28 May

Low-energy moon days are not something to feel guilty about 🤍

You are not lazy.
You are not failing.
You are simply moving through a different rhythm of energy.

🌿 Advice

• Slow your pace without shame
• Drink plenty of wai (water)
• Ground yourself on the whenua
• Prioritise self-care and nourishment
• Reduce sensory overload where possible
• Listen to what your body needs

When we fight against low-energy days, we often create more overwhelm and burnout.

But when we move with the rhythm instead of against it, the nervous system has space to regulate and recover.

Today is about honouring where you are not forcing yourself to be somewhere else.

🌙 Daily Marama with Tamara

Maramataka: Māwharu
Energy: High energy
Date: 27 May

Today’s moon Māwharu brings strong, high energy the perfect time to get outside and move your body 🤍

High-energy days can build up in the nervous system and turn into:
• Overthinking
• Restlessness
• Sensory overload
• Irritation
• Lack of focus

The key is to RELEASE the energy instead of holding it in.

🌿 Advice

• Go for a hīkoi (walk)
• Stretch your body regularly
• Work out or move in a way that suits you
• Put your bare feet on the whenua (earth)
• Spend time in nature
• Use movement to calm your mind and improve focus

Grounding yourself on the earth may help reduce stress and inflammation, while movement helps discharge excess energy and bring your nervous system back into balance.
