Meet Pocky 🤍
If you’ve ever spoken with us at Gentle Waves, chances are you’ve already heard about him.
Pocky is our 3-year-old British Shorthair and one of the little hearts behind everything we do.
He is food obsessed, treat motivated, and always zooming around the house like he has somewhere very important to be. He is also usually waiting by the door when I come home, which makes him the sweetest little welcome committee.
Pocky may look like an angry boy with his grumpy little face and big attitude, but underneath it all, he is such a softy. He loves being surrounded by people, sleeping on the bed with me, and taking up half the bed. He also likes to climb onto my legs and tries to continually balance himself, usually succeeding for 2 seconds before failing.
When he is feeling extra loving, he gives little massages too. Sometimes he gets a bit too excited and gives a little bite, so we are still working on that part.
He is afraid of the world beyond the front door and satisfies his curiosity sitting by the window observing from his little safe spot.
I think that sums him up quite well. Curious but cautious, dramatic but gentle, grumpy but full of love.
Pocky makes home feel warmer, funnier, and a little more chaotic in the best way. We love him exactly as he is.
