A happy client collected their new High Top Mercedes-Benz Sprinter today, expertly modified by the team at Braiden International Ltd.

One of the standout features of this vehicle is its ceiling-mounted hoist system. It enables a wheelchair user to be safely lifted from their chair, making it easy to transfer into another wheelchair or onto a mattress in the rear of the van for personal care.

The steering wheel of this Mercedes van was slightly too far away for the driver to comfortably reach from their wheelchair. To improve accessibility and driving ergonomics, the team at Milner Mobility extended the steering column by 60mm. This modification optimises the driver's seating posture and provides better leverage when steering, reducing the upper limb strength required for cornering and overall vehicle control.

These images show the back of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter Standard that was modified by Milner Mobility for one of our clients. You can see the flooring has multiple restraints tracks. This providea flexibility for the client who has different sized wheelchairs they need to restrain (at different times). Some of the rear seats also fold up against the wall to allow better access / storage space.
