Everyone has a mountain.
I watched 14 Peaks and it wrecked me — in the best way. Watching someone push through that kind of suffering, that kind of altitude, that kind of doubt, and just keep moving... it does something to you. It's not really about the summit. It's about what that pursuit reveals in a person.
Resilience gets talked about a lot. It's become a buzzword — something we admire from a distance, nod at, post quotes about. But resilience isn't a value you hold. It's a muscle you build. And you only build it by doing the hard thing, on the day you don't want to.
Your mountain might not have snow on it. It might be:
The training session you show up to when motivation's gone
The conversation you've been avoiding
The version of yourself you're trying to become, one rep, one choice, one day at a time
The summit isn't the point. The climbing is what changes you.
What's your mountain right now? 🏔️

"Stood in front of a man who spent 27 years in a cell and came out with more grace, not less. Mandela didn't just survive — he chose to lead with forgiveness over bitterness. : choosing to rise, choosing hope, one decision at a time. 💪 "

10 days.
No fluff. No quick fix.

I built it because I needed one — for real.
10 days to reset your gut, your energy, and your habits.
Then straight into the 28-Day Thrive Challenge if you want to keep going.
Move. Nourish. Think. Track.
That's it. That's the system.
If you're tired of starting over every Monday — this is different.
Comment "DETOX" and I'll send you the details. 💙

The economy doesn't care about your plans. Your health doesn't either — until you lose it.
Right now we're watching it play out in real time. Cost of living insane. Government policy shifting under our feet. People I know who thought their job was bulletproof, finding out nothing is.
That's why I don't just talk about "side income" — I talk about control.
Control over how many income streams you've got, so one bad quarter doesn't wipe you out.
Control over your health, because when your body breaks down, every other plan breaks down with it.
Control over what your life actually looks like, instead of whatever's left over after work, bills, and stress take their cut.
I learned this the hard way. My own health challenges taught me something I now build my whole life around: if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Not the business, not the income, not the energy to be there for your family. Health isn't one column on the list — it's the floor everything else stands on.
That's exactly why my wellness business isn't a "side hustle" to me in the throwaway sense. It's Plan B, and honestly, these days Plan B might need to become Plan A. It lines up with everything I believe — building income that isn't tied to one employer, one industry, one government decision, while helping people get their health sorted at the same time.
Having a Plan B isn't paranoid anymore. It's just smart. If you've got one income stream and no health strategy, you're more exposed than you realise.
Curious how this works? Flick me a yes.

: MUSCLE IS AN ORGAN, NOT A LOOK

Dr. Gabrielle Lyon reframes skeletal muscle as the body's largest endocrine organ — not a vanity metric.
Muscle is where glucose gets disposed of, where amino acids are stored for illness and injury, and where a huge share of your metabolic rate lives. Underinvest in it and you're underinvesting in your metabolic health, not just your physique.
Her reframe: the opposite of "overfat" isn't "underweight" — it's "under-muscled." You can be thin and still be at metabolic risk if you don't have enough muscle mass.
This matters even more right now because of GLP-1s. They're effective for rapid weight loss — but a significant share of what comes off is lean muscle, not just fat. On a drug that's already suppressing appetite and food intake, stripping muscle at the same time is compounding a problem, not solving one. Muscle is too important metabolically — especially as we age — to lose by accident.
Which is why resistance training isn't optional here. You need to lift to build and maintain, not just "stay active." And you need to feed the muscle you're working to keep: roughly 1.6–2g of protein per kilo of bodyweight.
But not all protein is equal, and it's not really about the gram total — it's about the 9 essential amino acids inside it, particularly leucine, which is what actually triggers muscle protein synthesis. A protein source can look impressive on a label and still fall short where it counts.
That's also why I'm careful about where I get mine. The recent NZ muscle supplement story is a reminder of how unregulated this industry can be — if a product isn't third-party tested, you genuinely don't know what you're consuming. It's part of why I've stuck with Juice Plus+ and why I'm a partner for it — I only put my name behind something I'm willing to actually stand on.

Juiceplus is NSF Approved - confirms purity , safety and label accuracy

Certified Non - GMO without genetically modified ingredients

PDCCAS - Digestibility - Corrected Amino Acid Score rated highest possible rating means plant based protein source provides 100% or more of the required amino acids for humans and is easily digested.

Using a sauna 4–7 times a week reduces your risk of sudden cardiac death by 63%. That's not a wellness trend. That's JAMA."
"A 20-minute sauna session spikes your growth hormone by up to 300%. Same effect as a workout. No reps required."
"4–7 sauna sessions a week: 66% lower risk of dementia. 65% lower risk of Alzheimer's. The research is in."
"A single heat therapy session produced antidepressant effects that lasted 6 weeks. One session."
"Sauna is passive exercise for your heart. Heart rate hits 150 bpm. Arteries get more flexible. Blood pressure drops. All while sitting still."
"Only 1–2% of sudden deaths occur within 24 hours of sauna use. But only when combined with alcohol. Don't mix the two."
"The Finns have been onto something for thousands of years. 20-year study of 2,315 men confirmed it: regular sauna use cuts all-cause mortality by 40%."

It is compelling evidence ...

Enjoy your day ..

DAY 3 OF THE 10 DAY DETOX 🌅
Woke up to this sunrise this morning and just sat with it for a minute.
There's something about that stillness — that freshness before the world wakes up — that mirrors exactly what we're doing to our bodies right now. Stripping things back. Letting the noise settle. Giving the system space to reset.
Real talk though — yesterday wasn't all sunrises and stillness for me.
I was irritable. Properly craving protein and carbs. Even with the plant-based powder giving me all 9 essential amino acids, my body was still asking for something more, and my head knew it but my body didn't want to listen.
So what did I do? Pushed the gym harder than I should have. Classic me — not smart, and honestly not what this phase calls for. Easing in means easing in, not white-knuckling through it like it's business as usual.
Lesson learned. Today I'm pulling back — stretching, sauna, letting my body actually do the work it's trying to do instead of pushing.
That's the real story of a detox. It's not 10 days of feeling amazing. It's 10 days of listening — to the cravings, the irritability, the moments you push too hard — and course-correcting instead of muscling through.
If you're doing this with me, how's Day 3 treating you? Be honest — that's where the growth is 💪
