Mental Health Recovery Support Workers Opportunities
For over 30 years, WISH Trust has been supporting tangata whai ora on Waiheke Island in their journeys towards wellbeing, independence, and recovery.
We are seeking compassionate, motivated people to join our team as Mental Health Recovery Support Workers.
In this rewarding role, you will walk alongside tangata whai ora, supporting them to achieve their goals, build confidence, develop daily living skills, and strengthen connections within their community. We work within a person-centred, strengths-based recovery framework, underpinned by the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
We welcome applications from experienced support workers and those looking to begin a meaningful career in mental health support.
You will bring:
A caring, positive, and respectful attitude
A genuine desire to support others
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to work independently and use initiative
A Full New Zealand Driver Licence
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
Preference will be given to applicants who hold a Level 4 Mental Health and Wellbeing qualification, or who are willing to work towards achieving this qualification with our support. We value reliability, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
