We have a massive year of milestones coming up next year! Not only am I hitting my *cough* half-century birthday, but weโ€™re also celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary! Add in our sonโ€™s 21st, a family 80th, and a couple of other special occasions, itโ€™s safe to say the end of 2026 into 2027 is a big one. ๐Ÿซฃ

Weโ€™ve been saving hard and decided a bucket-list trip is the ultimate way to celebrate. Weโ€™ve officially settled on Vietnam!

However, the sheer amount of choices has us a bit stuck on the specifics, and weโ€™d love your expert recommendations to help us narrow things down. Here is our rough itinerary framework so far:

โœจHanoi: 2โ€“3 days to kick things off.
โœจHalong Bay (or Lan Ha Bay): A short, high-end overnight cruise.
โœจHanoi to Hoi An: Taking the overnight train for the experience.
โœจHoi An: A week at a beautiful resort to completely recharge. Weโ€™d love somewhere a little special with an amazing pool, but close enough to the Old Town for easy dinners and shopping.
โœจHo Chi Minh City: A couple of days to explore before flying home.
