72km in one day 🚴‍♀️

A few days ago, Bek, her daughter Honor, and I biked from Ships Cove to Anakiwa along the Queen Charlotte Track on our mountain bikes.

And what a day.

The weather was unreal, and the track was everything - flowy, muddy, hard, rocky, beautiful, brutal, and very, very uphill. There was a lot of sweat, plenty of sore legs, bruises, and definitely more bike pushing than either of us would like to admit.

But honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.

It was one of those days you appreciate even more once it’s done. Having Honor join us was a highlight - what a machine. The scenery was incredible, and another unexpected highlight was spotting glow worms while biking in the dark!
