What a fantastic day at the Future of Work Marlborough event!

Our team was kept busy throughout the day, with hundreds of students exploring the many career opportunities available to them. It was great to see so much interest from young people considering a future in Nursing and healthcare.

The Churchill team enjoyed chatting with students about the rewarding and diverse career pathways that nursing offers, sharing our experiences, and answering plenty of questions along the way.

A big thank you to the organisers for putting together such a valuable event for our local rangatahi. We're always happy to support and encourage the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Who knows – we may have met some future Churchill nurses today! 👩‍⚕️💙

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO "THE POOL SHARKS" Aquabot team!

Churchill is incredibly proud to have supported The Pool Sharks on their journey to the USA to compete on the world stage.

Competing against 88 teams from around the globe (and more than 200 teams across the entire competition), the team achieved an outstanding **equal third place overall in their age group**!

Their results were nothing short of impressive:
🥈 2nd place in the Obstacle Course
🥉 3rd place in the Technical Report
🏅 Equal 3rd Overall

These achievements reflect countless hours of dedication, innovation, teamwork, and determination from the students, and their coach, Andrew Finch.

We are thrilled that our sponsorship helped the team of four students and their trainer make the journey to America and represent Marlborough on the international stage.

Congratulations to the entire Pool Sharks team – you have done yourselves, your school, and our community proud. We can't wait to see what you achieve next! 🚀

A special thank you to the team for their kind words of appreciation to the Churchill Trust. Supporting talented young people to pursue extraordinary opportunities is exactly what community partnerships are all about.

📸 Check out today's Marlborough Express article and visit the Pool Sharks page for more photos and updates from their incredible journey.

💙 Bowel Cancer Awareness Month – June 2026 💙

This June, we're encouraging our community to get to the bottom of it. Take a moment to learn the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, have conversations with whānau and friends, and seek medical advice if something doesn't feel right.

Throughout Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, people across Aotearoa are helping to spread awareness, sharing important information, supporting fundraising initiatives, and encouraging earlier detection through open and honest conversations.

Early detection saves lives. When bowel cancer is found early, more than 90% of cases can be successfully treated.

If you notice changes that concern you, don't ignore them. Trust your instincts and get checked. It could make all the difference.

Churchill Private Hospital Trust are very proud to announce the lucky recipient of our NMIT Nursing Scholarship Award - Caitlin Hawkes Bradding who was awarded her certificate this week.

Caitlin has chosen nursing as a career because she has always felt a strong sense of purpose in helping others. She would be honoured to care for people at their most vulnerable and be a part of their Hauora journey.

She is passionate about making a positive difference in health and valuing the diverse cultures here in New Zealand. She is inspired to become a nurse who can deliver culturally safe, holistic care grounded in equity and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Her long-term goal is to become a registered nurse and then further her career in a specialized area of practise.

Caitlin has chosen a career in nursing because it aligns with who she is and her values and is confident that she can make a meaningful, positive contribution to healthcare in Aotearoa.

We wish Caitlin all the best in her nursing journey and support her totally along the way - Belinda Watkins GM and Helen Foley CM and the Churchill team

Not only is this book a celebration of one of New Zealand’s most iconic high-country locations, but it also supports an amazing cause close to many hearts — Brain Tumour Support NZ

Vicky has put so much effort into this project, and it truly shows. Every purchase helps provide support, care, and resources for Kiwis affected by brain tumours.

Let’s get behind this — amazing work Vicky 👏💛
