We've recently had questions about scabies and how it can be managed.

Scabies is a common skin condition caused by tiny mites that spread through prolonged skin-to-skin contact. Importantly, scabies can affect anyone and is not related to personal hygiene.

Common symptoms include:

• Intense itching, especially at night
• A rash or small bumps on the skin
• Irritation between fingers, wrists, elbows, or other skin folds

If you think you or a family member may have scabies:

See your healthcare provider or pharmacist for advice, follow treatment instructions carefully.
Ensure all household members and close contacts are treated if advised.

Wash bedding, clothing, and towels according to medical guidance.
The good news is that scabies is treatable, and prompt treatment helps prevent it from spreading to others.

❄️ Winter is well and truly making itself felt! ❄️

Keep yourself and your loved ones safe this winter season.

If you're experiencing flu or influenza-like symptoms, take the time to rest, stay hydrated, and recover at home. Looking after yourself not only helps your recovery but also helps protect those around you. The flu can cause symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, and body aches.

💙 Rest. Recover. Protect your community.

The flu (influenza) is a viral infection. Most people recover within a week or two, but it can cause serious illness. Vaccination is your best protection against flu.
