Our Therapy team are lacing up their walking shoes & hitting the road on Sept 30th 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ It's all for a great cause - to raise funds for Alzheimers New Zealand during World Alzheimer's Month.

Two facilities, one good cause! 🎊 Other staff from both our facilities will be joining Tracy and the therapy team, so there's going to be a good group of movers and shakers!! 🎊

They will start from Resthaven on Burns and walk to Resthaven on Vogel.
START TIME: 1pm, Wednesday 30th September
START LOCATION: Resthaven on Burns, 170 Burns Street, Leamington

👔 Father’s Day… with a little extra flair! 👔

The men in the village pulled out all the stops for Father’s Day – and, more importantly, pulled out their tie collections! 😄

Some ties had clearly seen a few Father’s Days, while others looked like they were making their debut. Disney ties, Christmas, rugby, rural NZ, Scottish tartan ties, and a “one-tie-fits-all-occasions" tie - to name a few.

A great excuse to share a few stories and celebrate the wonderful men in our community.

🎶 Playing to a Full House! 🎶

We enjoyed a fantastic concert by entertainer extraordinaire Russell Dixon here at Resthaven! And a huge thank you goes to village resident Margaret for all her hard work in organising the show ❤️🎊

Thank you, Russell for your wonderful performance. 🎤❤️The Village Centre was packed, and everyone enjoyed a fab afternoon of music and entertainment, with plenty of toe-tapping and even some impromptu moves on the dance floor!

Here's some great news to start the week! The Friends of Resthaven Foundation Trust have established an endowment fund that has Cambridge Resthaven and the Cambridge elderly community at heart.

The Fund provides a way for anyone to donate all year round and we are incredibly grateful to the Friends of Resthaven Foundation, Kevin Burgess and Momentum Waikato Community Foundation for kickstarting this fund that will help provide perpetual support for our community.

🎉 The fabulous recliner chairs have arrived - 10 of them, thanks to the amazing Friends of Resthaven Foundation Charity Golf Day! Thank you to all the organisations and individuals in the community who sponsored and supported this fundraiser. The new recliners are perfect as they have been designed specifically for aged care. Through your generosity they will make a lasting difference to residents’ comfort and support for years to come. Thank you again. ❤️

10 new recliner chairs are making life a whole lot more comfortable for Cambridge Resthaven's residents! And it’s all thanks to our little bit of golfing magic at our Golf Day fundraiser - it totally exceeded all expectations, netting $11,700! ⛳️ ✨

So, a big thank you to everyone who swung a club, sponsored a hole, donated prizes, or volunteered on the day. Your generosity is now providing plenty of comfort, one cup of tea at a time! ☕️💙 And we couldn't have done it without you...
