Celebrating finishing the 2 day Kinesio Taping Foundations course, Cambridge New Zealand. Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Sports Science Therapists all came together to share skills and learn how to Tape With Wisdom.

*KINESIO TAPING FOUNDATIONS COURSE DAY 2*
CAMBRIDGE, NEW ZEALAND

Today capped off an amazing 2 days with this group of fantastic Therapists. Every one of them were able to bring their skills and real world knowledge to the table and then added a whole new range of methods of assessing what the body needed to move to a better state. Then they learnt how to use Kinesio Tape to influence the body to reduce pain, increase ROM and to be able to live life better.

Learnings from today included realizing that the nerve messaging fo the sensory nerves dictate where we are in space. If the nerves are restricted in the dermis and epidermis layers then pain messages get stronger.

They also learnt that too much tape applied in the wrong way has a huge effect on the nervous system.

I give my group of bodyworking professionals a big thank you for taking the plunge to learn this complex therapy and I know they will be bringing a new view in the body and it's ability to heal into their clinics.

*Kineso Taping Foundations Course Day 1*

Today was all about learning the science behind Kinesio Taping. Finding out the difference between Kinesio Taping Method and Kinesio Medical Taping.
Then everyone started leaning the assessment
Techniques crucial to this method. Kinesio Muscle Assessment and Range of Motion. Then after assessing the muscle response to directional stimulus we were able to apply the correct Kinesio muscle and tendon taping.

The big take away from today was to allw the body to show you what it needs rather than making assumptions as to what is wrong. Then watching the body cone back to a normal strength from being weak when tested.

Bring on day 2. - fascia, Ligaments, lymphatics, epidermis, Dermis, subcutaneous fascia and scars. These are all assessed and treated.
