Let's be honest it has been live for a few weeks now and I have been too busy with work and life (yay for winter sickness 😐) to have gotten around to making a post... but here it is!

If you have anyone that needs a psychologist - send them the link to my website so they can have a squiz and decide whether I am the right fit for them.

On the website, you can find out all about what services I offer in my private practice, my philosophy and the therapeutic modalities I use.

This website was created together with Samantha from if you need a website, get in touch with Samantha, she's super easy to work with and very efficient!

I'm proud to be supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025! 🌟

This week is all about challenging misconceptions, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the incredible strengths and talents of neurodivergent individuals.

Together, let’s create a more inclusive world that understands and champions neurodiversity in all its forms.

Hi folks, welcome to 2025!

Since I had some clients finish up with therapy at the end of last year, I now have space for new therapy clients. If your child or young person needs some support with big emotions, lots of worries, stress related to school, managing the challenges of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical world, or any other issues that I could help with, send me an email.

I also love working alongside parents and caregivers with any parenting challenges; parenting our littles and bigs can be hard, especially when your child may have diagnoses (or suspected diagnoses) such as anxiety, depression, OCD, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, phobias etc.

We can set up a phone consultation (no obligation) to briefly discuss what is happening for you and your child, and if I would be the right fit.

Regular appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Zoom appointments can be available for parents and older teens.

If you haven't made your submission on the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill - do it now! You have until Tuesday 1pm. Emily Writes has an easy to follow guide with examples of what you can write. You can make it really simple and easy, the important thing is that you do one and be heard!

P**i heard you haven’t put through your submission against the regulatory standards bill and she is pi**ed.

Don’t let David Seymour and his rich racist mates f**k up our country.

Bill: The Regulatory Standards Bill

Do it by: 13 January 2024 (TOMORROW)

Why should I care? This bill is the twin to the Treaty Principles Bill. So much so that you can use your submission for that bill as the template to this one. It has been described as: The ‘dangerous’ bill flying under the radar and “arguably one of the most regressive and dangerous Bills ever considered”.

Here’s how to do it:

Open an email and put [email protected] in the address field. If you wish, send a copy of your submission to your MP and ask them to oppose the Bill.

Begin with any variation of “I oppose the proposed Regulatory Standards Bill. It prioritises big business over people and the environment. Instead, we need regulations that protect New Zealand’s resources, our whānau, and future generations.”

Keep it simple - I included statements like: “It gives far too much power to its architect Minister for Regulation David Seymour” and “This bill has been rejected three times already” and “Taxpayers are put at risk of having to pay the losses of a corporate's profits resulting from legislation even if that legislation protects workers or the environment or the public.” Get more info in the google doc linked below.

End your email with any variation of “Please abandon the Regulatory Standards Bill 2021 and its proposed updates. There is no need for this bill and it should not go to an expensive and unnecessary referendum.”

Celebrate! You did your bit to stand up against greedy corporates and exploitative business, protect future generations, our precious whenua, and our values as a country.

I think I've shared this wonderful resource from NeuroWild before... but I'm sharing it again!

If you are taking your child for an assessment for autism or ADHD or another neurodivergent condition such as dyslexia, OCD, giftedness etc., then here are some things you could say beforehand 😊

Taking your kid to an Autism assessment?
Let them know what’s going on.

It’s not a scary thing figuring out what kind of brain you have.
And it makes a lot of sense to do it.
How else would you know how to take care of it?

Start the conversation on the right foot.

Being Autistic is fine.
Being confused, isolated, and thinking you’re broken is not.

Yes?
