I am thrilled to announce I am presenting at this years Dyspraxia Support Group of New Zealand Annual Conference.

Children with Developmental Dyspraxia/DCD frequently experience feeding challenges that extend well beyond "picky eating." Difficulties with oral motor coordination, postural stability, sensory processing, motor planning, executive functioning, anxiety, and mealtime participation often interact to create complex feeding presentations that can significantly impact nutrition, family wellbeing, and quality of life.

This presentation explores the relationship between DCD and paediatric feeding difficulties through a multidisciplinary lens. Participants will gain an understanding of how motor coordination, sensory processing, psychological factors, and nutrition influence feeding development and participation.

Drawing on current evidence and extensive clinical experience, Rebecca will discuss practical assessment considerations, differentiate common feeding presentations including Paediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and share evidence-based intervention strategies that clinicians can apply in practice. Attendees will leave with greater confidence in recognising feeding challenges in children with DCD and practical tools to support positive, family-centred mealtime outcomes.

We are SO excited to announce Aotearoa's First ARFID Diagnosis Assessment Pathway!!!

ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) is not only under recognised but is extremely undiagnosed... That is often because there is no one to diagnosis it (some paediatrician's will but it's very few).

Receiving a diagnosis of ARFID has many benefits including recognition to medical and allied health professionals, support plans for preschools/schools, some funding opportunities and most importantly access to the correct and appropriate treatments.

The waitlist is now open!

Do mealtimes feel like a daily struggle?

If your child eats only a small range of foods, refuses new foods, or mealtimes leave you feeling frustrated, worried, or stuck, you're not alone.

Join our webinar, "Parents Who Feel Stuck at Mealtimes", designed specifically for parents of restricted eaters.

In this supportive session, you'll learn:
- Why restricted eating happens
- How to reduce pressure at mealtimes
- Practical strategies to encourage food exploration
- Ways to build confidence and create a more positive feeding environment

You'll leave with evidence-based tools, greater understanding, and reassurance that there is a path forward.
