There's a banana in your fruit bowl right now, going soft, going brown, and you know it. You bought it with good intentions. And it's still sitting there.
Meanwhile the chocolate in the cupboard has been calling your name since 3pm.
Your relationship with food is loaded. You've got good foods and bad foods, and if you cave and eat a "bad" one, your mind will chastise you for hours. Eat "good" and there's a halo over your head for the rest of the day.
But let's be honest, your bad list is way longer than your good list. And the bad foods are so much easier to eat than the good ones ever are - which is why your banana is going rotten and your chocolate is all gone.
Here's the bit that doesn't make sense to you. Why doesn't your body crave the healthy stuff the way it craves the rest? Why does the banana just sit there rotting while the chocolate has your name on it all night, every night?
They're calling this food noise now. Everyone's talking about it.
But from my training, food noise isn't really about the food. It's a sign your body is out of balance, and your relationship to food is out of balance right along with it.
Your body is asking for something, and the chocolate is just the loudest thing in the room right now and also the thing that will keep your body out of balance. Because when we are out of balance we crave the things that will keep us there.
Which means you can't white-knuckle your way past food noise with more willpower. You've probably already tried that, more than once, and it hasn't stuck. What actually works is bringing your body back into balance first, then working on your relationship to food alongside it, not instead of it.
That's exactly what the 7 day reset does. It quiets the noise, brings your body back into balance, and gives you the space to actually want the banana again, not just tolerate it because you know you should.
We start with a kick off call on 24 September, and the 7 days run 27 September to 3 October. Investment $49.
