Our first Burlington Pickleball outing was a hit! Residents headed along to Club Pickle for a fun and social introduction to the game, with plenty of laughs, learning and friendly competition along the way.

A great way to try something new and enjoy time together off the court and on! 🏓

Resident Spotlight: Trevor Spittle, MNZM 🌟

We’re proud to celebrate Burlington Village resident Trevor Spittle, who was recognised in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to athletics.

For more than 40 years, Trevor has volunteered as an athletics official, administrator and educator, contributing to major events including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Athletics Championships and Paralympic Games. He continues to support the sport by mentoring and developing officials across New Zealand and the Pacific.

A remarkable achievement and a well-deserved honour — congratulations, Trevor! 💙

Burlington Travel Club: A Luxurious Ōtāhuna Escape

Residents enjoyed a luxurious escape to Ōtāhuna Lodge, beginning with brunch at Raspberry Café before arriving at the beautifully restored Victorian mansion in Tai Tapu. The getaway included time in the magnificent gardens, classic lawn games, pre-dinner drinks and canapés, and a four-course dinner matched with New Zealand wines. The following day, residents continued on to Akaroa, with a visit to the colourful and whimsical Giants House — a memorable trip filled with elegance, exploration and beautiful surroundings.

Our Bastille Day lunch was a magnifique celebration, with residents enjoying a wonderful French-inspired afternoon filled with delicious food, great company, and plenty of festive flair. It was a lovely way to bring a little taste of France to Burlington.

🍺 What a fantastic evening of local flavours, live music and great company!

Residents enjoyed sampling a range of locally crafted beers as Two Thumb Brewery took over the bar at Burlington. The relaxed atmosphere was made even better with live entertainment from Leah Kelsey, creating the perfect setting to catch up with friends and meet new neighbours.

🍫✨ What a wonderful way to celebrate World Chocolate Day!

Residents indulged in a delicious selection of chocolate treats, perfectly paired with luxurious hot chocolate and a glass of bubbles. It was a delightful afternoon filled with sweet flavours, great company and plenty of smiles.

Residents recently enjoyed two special screening evenings celebrating the story of the Balmoral and the volunteers helping preserve its legacy.

We were delighted to welcome director Harry Knight and Brian from the Lyttelton Tug, with residents enjoying bubbles, popcorn, and ice cream during the screening. The evenings concluded with a fascinating Q&A session, making for a memorable experience for all.

What a fantastic night at our Decades Gala! 🎶✨

Residents travelled back in time with an evening full of music, dancing, and wonderful entertainment from the 50s, 70s, and 90s. From rock ’n’ roll classics to disco hits and hip hop favourites, the dance floor was full of energy and smiles all night long. 💃🕺

A huge thank you to The Edition Band, Euphoria Dance Studio, and the Southern Rock n Roll Club for bringing the decades to life!
