Residents enjoyed a magical evening at the Illuminate light show in the Botanic Gardens. We wandered among the colourful interactive lighting installations and sampled some tasty treats from the food trucks.

It was all aboard The Mainlander for a memorable Travel Club adventure to Dunedin. Residents enjoyed a four-day, three-night getaway travelling south on the historic Main South Line, with highlights including a scenic train journey, three nights at the Dunedin Leisure Lodge, a visit to the iconic Speight’s Brewery, and a special dinner at Larnach Castle. It was a wonderful trip filled with history, scenery, good food and great company.

🌿 Exciting recognition for Banbury Park’s resident-run nursery! 🌿

We’re thrilled to share that Banbury Park’s Resident Plant Nursery was named runner-up in the Bunnings Trade Resident-led Garden and Landscaping Award at the 2026 RVA Sustainability Awards.

This category celebrates resident-led garden and landscaping initiatives that nurture biodiversity and bring people together across generations — and our nursery is a wonderful example of just that.

Led by passionate residents with a long-term vision, the nursery supports local biodiversity and contributes to the ongoing beautification of Banbury Park’s village landscaping.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in this special resident-led project. 💚

Our Dinner Club recently enjoyed an evening at 5th Street in Sydenham, experiencing the restaurant's popular "Trust the 5th" menu. The shared dining experience featured a generous selection of small, medium and large dishes chosen by the chefs, giving everyone the chance to sample a wonderful variety of flavours.

Good food, great conversation and plenty of laughs made for a fantastic night out. 🍷

🌱 Kaitorete Spit Planting Day 🌱

Last month, Banbury Park residents headed out to Kaitorete Spit to support the start of a two-week native planting project. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors, contribute to the restoration of a unique local environment, and be part of a community effort to protect this special landscape for future generations.

The greatest night at Banbury Park! ✨🎩

Banbury Park recently hosted its very first cabaret evening in the new Pavilion, and what a spectacular night it was!

Residents were treated to a fantastic performance from Epic Entertainment, with the evening themed around The Greatest Showman. From the music and energy to the costumes and atmosphere, it was a wonderful celebration that brought plenty of colour, fun and excitement to the Pavilion.

It was fantastic to see the new space come alive with live entertainment, laughter and community connection. A big thank you to Epic Entertainment for delivering such a memorable show, and to everyone who came along and helped make Banbury’s first cabaret in the Pavilion such a success.

After three years of planning, creativity, and collaboration, the Clocktower at Banbury Park has been brought to life — standing proudly in front of the brand-new Pavilion as a striking new landmark for our village.

What began as a bold idea for a clock with a little steampunk character has become a 10-metre sculptural timepiece, complete with moving cogs that can be enjoyed from all angles as residents and visitors arrive at Banbury Park.

A special thank you to Morgan + Pollard, Gary Baynes — the Christchurch artist who built the Clocktower in his studio, The Shed — and everyone involved in bringing this ambitious feature to life. Seeing residents gather by the pond to watch it come into motion made the moment even more memorable.

A special milestone for Banbury Park ✨

Last night, we were delighted to officially open the new Banbury Park Pavilion alongside residents, staff, and valued stakeholders.

Created as a welcoming space for connection, wellbeing, entertainment, and community, the Pavilion is a wonderful addition to village life and includes serviced apartments within this impressive new building.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate, and to all those who helped bring the Pavilion to life. We look forward to seeing it become a much-loved part of the Banbury Park community.

Residents recently enjoyed a Fika Finders outing to New Brighton, walking from Rawhiti Domain along the beach to the Pier before stopping at Saturdays for coffee and a catch-up with friends.

A real highlight of the day was a surprise sand art creation by Wayne . Residents watched in amazement as the incredible artwork took shape on the beach, adding a memorable and unexpected touch to a wonderful outing.

Residents recently headed up the Port Hills for an Adventure Walkers outing along the Crater Rim Track through Sugarloaf Scenic Reserve. Surrounded by stunning views and fresh air, the group enjoyed a great afternoon of walking, conversation, and exploring the beautiful landscape together.
