Our latest Travel Club adventure took us to the spectacular Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, where Mother Nature had a snowy surprise in store!

While the weather changed our plans, we embraced the winter wonderland with snowy walks, plenty of laughs and even a snowman family that became a hit with visitors staying nearby. We enjoyed delicious buffet meals, explored the Hermitage Planetarium and visited the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre Museum, all while soaking up the stunning snow-covered scenery.

It may not have been the trip we planned, but it was certainly one to remember — sometimes the best adventures are the unexpected ones!

After six months of dedicated fundraising, from 1 October 2025 to 31 March 2026, Alpine View Lifestyle Village is proud to have donated $10,380 to BrainTree.

This wonderful result reflects the generosity, energy and community spirit of our residents, staff, families and supporters, who contributed in so many ways throughout the fundraising period.

BrainTree provides valuable support, connection and resources for people living with neurological conditions, along with their whānau and carers, and we are delighted to be able to support the important work they do.

Thank you to everyone who donated, attended events, volunteered, baked, bought raffle tickets and helped make this fundraising effort such a success. What an incredible achievement! 👏

✨ Ooh la la! Our Moulin Rouge Cabaret transformed the Alpine View lodge into a glamorous Parisian-inspired evening of music, colour and entertainment.

Residents enjoyed a delicious French-inspired menu, dazzling performances and plenty of laughs. A truly unforgettable highlight of the year! ❤️

Residents enjoyed an engaging live talk with Roger Chance in the Library, learning about the Ronnie Gardiner Method and its cognitive benefits. It was a fascinating session exploring how rhythm, movement, and music can help activate brain engagement, with plenty of interest and discussion.

Our Mystery Bus Trip last month took residents on a prehistoric adventure to Canterbury Museum’s Dinosaurs: Surviving Extinction exhibition. Residents enjoyed stepping back millions of years to discover fascinating fossils, life-sized displays, and the incredible story of how dinosaurs lived, adapted, and survived. A wonderful outing full of curiosity and conversation.

The Clubhouse was full of colour, music, and great energy as residents came together for a fun 60s and 70s-themed evening. From groovy outfits to old-school classics, everyone enjoyed a lively boogie and plenty of laughs with friends.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Ferrymead Heritage Park, stepping back in time and experiencing the charm of this special historic village firsthand. The morning included a relaxed tour, plenty of memories, and a lovely morning tea shared together.

Residents put their thinking caps on for a fun-filled Quiz Night in the Clubhouse hosted by the Residents Association! The evening was packed with challenging questions, plenty of teamwork, and lots of laughter as teams worked together to test their knowledge. It was a fantastic night and a big congratulations go out to our winning team - The Snowy Tops.

Alpine View Travel Clubbers recently enjoyed a three-night getaway to Queenstown, filled with spectacular scenery, great company, and memorable experiences. Highlights included a helicopter flight over Wānaka with a glacier landing, and exploring the historic charm of Arrowtown. From delicious dining experiences to stunning South Island landscapes, the trip created lasting memories.

Residents recently enjoyed a fantastic W**e Pairing Degustation evening in the onsite restaurant, hosted in partnership with Mischief W**es.

The evening featured four carefully selected w**es paired with a beautifully prepared four-course menu created by our head chef. Residents enjoyed learning more about each w**e, including its flavours, origins, and how it complemented each dish.

From fresh seafood and duck breast to a delicious lemon posset dessert, every course was thoughtfully matched and thoroughly enjoyed. The night was filled with great food, wonderful company, and plenty of conversation around the tables.

A huge thank you to Mischief W**es and to all of the staff whose hard work helped make the evening such a success.
