Today is Daffodil Day.

Daffodil Day helps fund support services that for people affected by cancer can make the hardest moments a little less lonely, including accommodation during treatment, local check-ins, and access to counselling and practical support.

Donations also help to fund world-leading cancer research and vital prevention programmes to protect future generations of New Zealanders

Today's the day thousands of volunteers head out to street corners, shopping malls and transit hubs across Aotearoa with collection buckets and fresh cut daffodils, pins, and knitted or crocheted merchandise for sale.
