Looking for ‘Fun’- Easy Going, reliable People - who enjoy making a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities. You will need to be kind, understanding and patient - but also enjoys a good joke or two (laughter is compulsory on the tours)!
We're currently looking for:
🚌 Volunteer Driver
❤ Volunteer Support Person / Carers
All the lovely clients who attend day tours, or overnight get aways are very independent adults. There are no personal cares (toileting or showering), just general support required. This might include help with managing their money, or reading a menu out at a restaurant, or making sure they are supported in environments they are not familiar with.
Most volunteer opportunities are on weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
(Only 1-2 per month)
The overnight/away tours are anywhere from 1 to 7 nights away (only offered 2-3 times per year)
There is a tour for 7 days away in early January 2027 and I will need a driver & 1 support person - please email if interested to find out more.
Van Driver needs to hold a P Endorsement on their licence. Don't have a P Endorsement ? We're happy to help the right person obtain one. This isn’t difficult to get (good health, and clean licence).
(As a volunteer - you travel free with all main meals, accommodation, flights, entrance fees - you give your precious time, but in return you travel around NZ and Internationally free).
