Research in to the project started sever

al years beforehand, as a small group of professionals got together and shared the same stories of seeing people in aged care - sitting in the same chair, in the same lounge, each day - some with very few, if any visitors. This small group made it their initial goal to design and develop a volunteer visitation programme to those in aged care - but how to fund it and scale it was the next step. The group soon realised that peoples personal experiences on these facilities was virtually non-existent. So, AgedAdvisor was formed and a site developed to allow people share their experiences on retirement living and residential care. People with a passion for this sector and first hand experience - either through their line of work (providing services to residents within these facilities) or by having family or loved ones living in Retirement Villages, Rest Homes and Aged Care facilities were recruited. The team do not own or run aged care or retirement facilities, and we do not own any shares (personally or as a company) in any Retirement Complexes or Groups - so we have no financial interests in these facilities. We simply want the best for the people that live there or are looking to make a decision of moving to one.

⭐️ We're so proud of 'our girl' Zoe Hobbs coming away with gold - the first Kiwi to ever do so in the 100m sprint category!

What an encouragement she is to us all - "I just think about the time I was told I shouldn't do the 100m because it's too hard to do, that I should consider doing other events because I'll never make it as a sprinter in the 100m."

Go Zoe - Kiwis really can fly!

The 28-year-old finished with a national record time of 10.93s despite the wet conditions in Glasgow.
